Filerimos Village Hotel

We've stayed here at the beginning od July. The room was located at the main building. It was very spacious with a huge balony and good working air condition, but with outdated bathroom. Great swimming pools and aquapark but could be more sunbeds. The food was good. There was also swimming pool bar with some snacks and ice cream. The wine, beer and drinks were ok. The stuff was friendly. There is a car rental office at the hotel. They have good price and are very helpful. The hotel is well located, 10 minutes by bus from the airport and 20 minutes from Rodos old town. The bus stop is next to the hotel. The airplanes frequently approaching to the airport weren't disturbing and watching them was a kind of attraction for us. I think the biggest problem for the hotel owner is the sewage area located at the central point of the hotel area. It is well hidden with beatiful greenery but the odour is bad. Fortunately, it smells bad only at the close distance to that. Rodos island is great. We recommend to visit old town Rodos, Lindos town and Filerimos mountain and monastery.

Before our visit to filermos village I read a lot of the reviews on here for useful info. I was a little nervous about our stay as there are a lot of bad reviews, so I’m going to try and be as thorough as possible to try and help others who have booked this hotel. It’s hard to know where to start, I’ll start with the complex as a whole. There are 3 pools including the water park, the small pool at the front is nice, (deep) it’s quiet and mainly for the adults. The main pool is nice and that’s where everyone seems to go in the day. They have the bar and snack bar at the main pool and also all the daily activities such as aqua aerobics and other games. There are signs everywhere telling you not to reserve sun beds but everyone does and if you don’t, you won’t get any. I went down at around 6.30 every morning to get our sun beds. The water park was really good, it’s gets really busy so we just went for the last hour of the day 4-5. Now for the room, our room was 102 and was very spacious. There is no kettle or iron and the shower was the worst shower I’ve ever used. Towels weren’t changed all holiday and I had to ask for more toilet roll. We did have a mini fridge which was helpful. Food wasn’t great but I think they try and cater for all nationalities. We went for breakfast around 7.30 most mornings and it was quiet. We also went out for dinner 2 nights at Antonis down the road, I would highly recommend there if you are struggling with the food. Most of the staff are friendly, there is a lady that works at the main pool bar, she was very nice and works so hard. She deserves recognition. They are very short staffed and looked as though they all work every day. We heard that the lifeguard was working 3 weeks straight with no day off. Some of them are not friendly but I think they are all tired with having to work every day from morning until night. It’s claims it’s a 4 star hotel but I would say it’s a 3, I think the water park that makes it a 4 star. If I was to return to Rhodes, I wouldn’t go back to filermos village, however we did have an amazing holiday.

This isn’t 5 stars for the hotel , it’s for the amazing bar lady Iva , in the Ala Carte bar which is at the entrance of the hotel . The highlight of the hotel ! I could not praise her enough since the day we got here and we came in here the first time we knew we’d return (Which we have every day since ) Her amazing professional communication skills , her amazing quick service ( and she does it alone ) The best member of staff that works here ! Unfortunately all the other staff struggle to even crack a smile at you but Iva is brilliant ! The best member of staff here without fail ! ( and the best cocktail maker 😉 ❤️😃
