Akti Imperial Deluxe Resort & Spa Dolce by Wyndham

Nothing that is shown in the pictures is real. The food is at a very low quality, They rushed us through every meal like we were in school or something, there was no AC in the rooms which made it impossible to sleep for those 2 nights. We went to relax and came back needing a vacation after our vacation. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!

We have had the best 2 weeks @ the Akti Imperial Hotel in Rhodes, from the moment we walked in we was greeted with smiles from the recption staff who asked us if we would like to upgrade our rooms FOC to a suite so we could all be together as a family, They offered to show us the room so we could make a decision. The pool areas are superb with lots of options. The entertainemnt staff were all absolutely fabulous and do not stop 6 days a week......There is always something going on for the Juniors and the Adults. Food and drink was perfect with so much choice. Can't find a fault really. Access to the beach is so easy.

Great staff, lovely hotel, spotlessly clean throughout, good choices of restaurants and food, in-room mini bar restocked as advertised, beach towel service faultless, lobby bar George and Luculus/Red Elephant’s waiter George both outstanding and a credit to the hotel. Housekeepers like ninjas, never seen but room was always cleaned promptly and well done.

From start to finish, our holiday was superb! This was our second visit to this hotel and as before, we had the most wonderful experience. Easy check in and greeted really well by all of the reception team, who are incredibly helpful. A special shout out has to go to Chef Aris, for the truly wonderful food that is prepared and presented by his teams of staff so beautifully on every occasion, at both the main buffet restaurant along with the themed restaurants. Also to Julie and Elani. Julie, your hard work presenting, clearing and helping me find everything I needed (especially the cheese!), along with your kindness was so appreciated and Elani, the amount of omelettes you served up to both my husband and I each morning was incredible, thanks so much to both of you! Our room on the seventh floor was kept wonderfully clean by the housekeeping team and our mini bar was stocked each day without fail. We made full use of the swimming pools and beach areas which are kept very clean by the hard working staff and the lunch/afternoon offerings in both pool bars was really fantastic. This is a large hotel with lots to offer for both families and couples. Yes there may be a slight hitch here and there but overall, the staff work very, very hard to accommodate everyone, but their hard work, fantastic hospitality and customer service gives you a very relaxed atmosphere and a very enjoyable holiday. Would we recommend staying here? Of course we would!

Review: Akti Imperial Deluxe Resort & Spa Stayed as a family of six. We were given two rooms that weren’t connecting, which meant the adults had to split up at night. The rooms themselves felt very small for families: the “triple” had barely any space for a pram or suitcases, and adding a crib made it tight to move around. What we liked - Entertainment was well organized, with plenty going on throughout the day. - Lots of drink options; beer tasted fine (felt quite light), and there were other choices if you prefer something stronger. - Food variety was decent overall—usually something for everyone at different times of the day. What needs work - Burgers were extremely dense and hard; I’d skip them. - Loungers around the pool are worn out and uncomfortable—you can feel the center bars even with a towel. - Housekeeping came daily, but quality varied. We noticed stains on a couch and some bedding; towels were changed, which was appreciated. - Some plates/glasses didn’t look fully clean, and several juice dispensers looked dusty—off-putting in a buffet setting. - Room doors didn’t feel very secure unless you pulled them closed firmly. During our stay, items went missing from our room (£900 and two pairs of sunglasses). I reported it to staff; they were polite but made me feel disbelieved, and I couldn’t get a copy of the incident report from the manager. I didn’t file a police report due to pre-booked plans, which I regret—others may wish to do so immediately. - I didn’t easily spot fire-escape signage on the ground floor where I was, which concerned me. Clearer, visible exit signs would help guests in an emergency. - I witnessed a situation where a guest said she damaged a tooth on a burger; the staff response came across as unsympathetic. It created an uncomfortable scene. Tips if you go - If you need connecting rooms, confirm in writing well in advance. - Travel light if you’re in a triple, or request extra storage; compact/umbrella strollers fit better. - Use the in-room safe and double-check the door has latched each time; consider photographing valuables and keeping receipts. - If something goes missing, report it immediately and ask how to obtain documentation; consider contacting local police promptly. - Inspect plates/glasses and ask for fresh ones if needed. - Skip the burgers; there are plenty of other options that were fine. - Bring a thin cushion or foldable pad for the pool loungers. - Locate the nearest fire exits on your floor when you arrive. Overall Akti Imperial has lively, well-run entertainment and enough food and drink variety to keep most people satisfied. However, the small rooms, worn facilities, cleanliness inconsistencies, and my security concerns made the stay more stressful than it should have been for a family. With improvements to room allocations for families, maintenance, and clearer safety/incident handling, this could be a much better experience. I stayed at this hotel the summer before COVID hit 2019 and loved it, so decided to book it again for me & my family. Unfortunately this is worst mistake i ever made. At a glance the hotel is big and looks good, but looks can be deceiving. From day one, we were given dirty plates, cups and glasses and constantly sending them back. I once sent wine glasses back twice as they were dirty and just ended up getting up myself from dinner, to make sure i got clean ones. The meat and food was also undercooked and when I visited the Greek restaurant, we were given undercooked pork. I sent it back with the waitress, but she told me that's how the pork is served in Greece. I then ask to speak to the manage, who simply said i will get you a fresh serving, if you wish. Pork is never served pink whatsoever, and can carry a bug that can even kill you On day 4, i fell ill with diarrhea and sickness and a few hours later it hit my husband, we both got food poisoning. I have never seen my husband so ill in 35 years of knowing him. I reported it to the hotel, but they had no interest at all and said it must be a bug that we caught on the plate. I asked to speak to the hotel manager, but he wasn't in and the rude reception staff didn't know when he would be working. Please stay well aware, as this is certainly not a 5* hotel, with bad food, dirty plates, cups, rude staff and food poisoning.
