The hotel's location is fantastic; it's right by the pedestrian street, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The Sun Voyager is also just a 5-minute walk away.
We stayed here for a total of three nights during our trip to Iceland, but unfortunately, there was road construction directly in front of the hotel. This made navigating, parking, and carrying luggage quite inconvenient, especially for first-time visitors to Iceland. The hotel really should have found a way to proactively inform guests (e.g., via email) and offer suitable advice, instead of remaining completely silent.

In a very expensive city, it was a real find for affordable price and most importantly for privacy. I only spend couple of hours in transit between flights, but wish I stayed longer.
Tiny room, but with all amenities needed and the light mood selection is something special

dark and full of thieves. MAYBE DONT KEEP ANYTHING IN THE REFRIGERATOR. not sure how my things got stolen as they were packed in the back and not visible. was it the cleaning staff checking every item and label? did they decide to take it? was it a traveler, and because there's no CCTV they thought it'd be okay? i thought in iceland people would keep the cultural system of no crime. so this is a warning and also this experience (at the end of my stay) doesnt affect my overall opinion of the hostel (which i formed before having things stolen). the atmosphere is overly dreary and depressing. the most colorful thing is the mandatory rainbow flag that almost every business in the area seems to have on display (is it part of an extortion racket?). low light everywhere, even in the sleeping room when you need to be able to see and find things. the room had only one small window and only a tiny opening for fresh air outside. no air circulation or ability to adjust the room temperature. the room was cramped and the beds squeaked and creaked at the smallest movement. sheets were clean and no bugs were seen. so that is a plus! the interior and decor in the hostel is odd. it felt like a waiting room in the afterlife for people who led lives of honest vice and subversive transgression, or maybe it's best described as a purgatory for designers with perpetual Seasonal Affective Disorder. this probably suits most people interested in the general icelandic vibe, so it is appropriate. no ability to make a deposit for a lock for the lockers in the room. you must purchase an overpriced lock. finally there are no smiles on any workers who speak in monotone and seem bothered whenever you ask a question, as if they had been interrupted, as if it werent their job to assist customers, and as if i were dumb for asking a question.

The place itself is really nice, it’s a 1 bedroom studio, basically it’s an apartment in the downtown area. Perfect location. You have to check in at a hotel up the road about two minutes, but that’s the only thing I didn’t like. Other than that, great place, and also had a fully functional kitchen if you wanna cook a night or two at home.

The hotel features modern facilities and an excellent location. There's a fantastic bubble tea shop right across the street, and a highly-rated Chinese restaurant, considered the best in the local area, is just a short walk away. The cleanliness is also superb.

Layout of room was kind of strange. The bed is on a weird platform that might be difficult to navigate for less agile people, or those who are sleepy or otherwise impaired. Bathroom was overly small.
It has a kitchenette, but no microwave. The location is in the heart of the most touristy part of Reykjavik.
This is the third hotel I’ve stayed in while traveling to Reykjavik. The others, both lower priced, were not afflicted with the smell of sulphur (rotten eggs) in the water. It is possible to filter this out, and a person paying the price this hotel is asking should be able to expect better quality water.
If you want to be in the thick of the tourist action and don’t mind smelly water, this place is OK. Otherwise…

Great
GGuest UserA very good experience, the hotel has a sense of design, is exquisite and clean. The front desk staff are very welcoming and friendly. In particular, the Chinese lady at the front desk was patient and polite, spoke Mandarin very well, and helped us solve many problems. I would like to express my special thanks to her. The bedding is also very comfortable. It can be said to be the best among the many hotels we have stayed in during our trip to Northern Europe. Highly recommend this hotel

TTanchixiaolanmaoyyThe hotel is very popular. I could only book a standard room for a king-size bed room before. But when I was about to check in, I saw a superior room and grabbed it immediately. The size of the superior king-size bed room was OK, but the superior twin room should not be 24 square meters and seemed very small. So my friend upgraded the double standard to a suite.

HHONGMEINo breakfast, the hotel is located in the main road of Reykjavik City, eat 24 hours below the supermarket, pink pigs are very close. The room on the road will of course be very noisy. It is also a 10-minute walk from the cathedral. There are kitchen utensils in the room, and it is very convenient to cook your own pizza. The front desk was very enthusiastic, and both of them were smiling in both days. The king-size bed, the remarks with children, added a bed of about 1.2 meters, and a big bed about 2 meters. Enough for 4 people. Awesome

LLivoryPerfect in all counts. Service was top, free private parking saved hassle of figuring out public parking space, rooms super clean and housekeeping everyday (we didnt really need it but they kept our room tidy everyday), very good furniture arrangement to open two big luggages with room to still walk. Reykjavik city centre is not too big so walking from hotel is not hard at all. Hotel is beautiful with so much art to admire, lobby decor was amazing and welcoming. I am just glad that on my return to Reykjavik from east of Iceland, we are staying there again before we fly off to our next destination. If you’re staying in Reykjavik and don’t mind a 5min walk to city centre, this is the place to book. One small gripe: bring eyemasks for summer as the curtains leak a tiny bit of light no matter how you arrange it (which is a common issue we faced in most Icelandic hotels).

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is great. There is a great bar downstairs that supposedly has live music every night. The hotel is very safe, a password is required to enter at night. The hotel staff are nice and the rooms are clean.

刘刘The hotel is very good, cost-effective, the location is superb, near bus stop 10, the airport shuttle bus and the tourist attractions shuttle bus are at bus stop 10, crossing the road is convenient, there are supermarkets, various restaurants, snack stalls, and there is a net red milk tea shop downstairs. The hygiene is very good, the room is very warm, in a place like Iceland where the price is high, this hotel is simply great value, the boss is Chinese, the people are very good, patiently answering various questions, gave us a lot of good suggestions, conscience recommendation, will set this hotel next time I go to Iceland.
