A relatively new hotel, ca. 20 min by walking from the famous city center bar streets.
The service at the reception is good (it seems that the tourist industry is fully in Polish hands, this feels a little awkward).
Why is the room with toilet for disabled individuals if not requested?
The recommended bath Laugardalslaug near the hotel needs urgently refurbishing.
The Flybus transport from hotel to KEF was well organized and not expensive.
It was good to stay for our last day as it's quite close to the bus station to airport.
As there's fully equipped kitchen, we could be able to cook our own food which made us feel even better. Lastly, Bonus is right beside so it was cooool!
Just one thing is that I had hard time looking for the entrance but unless that, it was good stay.
The location is easily accessible by public transit. It’s a self-service hotel, so guests must be sure to reach out if they haven’t received checkin instructions.
There are staff at the hotel and on call who are very friendly and helpful about routine issues which arise.
The included breakfast buffet is remarkable!!!

Except that the door could not be opened at first, after contacting the landlord, the landlord opened the door for us in the background and then updated the correct password. The room is relatively short and does not have a direct view of the sea, but other than that it is very good. The facilities are complete and easy to use. The multi-function oven and refrigerator are very convenient.
Very good location. Unfortunately, I wasn’t sent the check in details so had to call on arrival. Very quick to respond and sort out though. Good kitchen but utensils were unclean when I arrived. Could do with more attentiveness to these things.
lived for 8 nights
clean room
nice staff at front desk who recommended nice places nearby
water pressure for showering can be a bit stronger
yummy breakfast with acceptable amount of choices
acceptable distance from main street
not noisy when sleep
I loved the ease of self-service, honestly found this more convenient and relaxing.
The place is very clean and location is great, we had good weather so we pretty much walked everywhere and only took the bus once when we went a bit far.
Would definitely come back if I need to stay in Reykjavík.
I like it very much. It feels like living in a big house of a local family. It is very warm. It is very clean and comfortable. There are three floors in total. There is a kitchen on the second floor. Coffee and tea are also available. The old administrator is very nice. The yard is very large. It feels like a different kind of beauty in summer.
Environment: In the center of Lei City, the location is very good. Next to the old street, there are many Internet celebrity shops and several Chinese restaurants. This location is very convenient to go anywhere, just walk.
Service: All self-service check-in. If you arrive at the door in the morning, someone may help you check in. They will send an email a few days before check-in. If you don’t receive the door password or something, you need to contact them, otherwise, like us, you have to stand in the cold wind for 10 minutes to communicate with them and then send us an email
Environment:
The room you stayed in is quite large, larger than ordinary hotels, but we are a little noisy on the first floor. There is a smell of rotten eggs in the room, but this is the smell of sulfur water. At first I thought it was from the sewer. There is no water barrier in the bathroom. If the water is turned on, it is easy to flow outside. While taking a shower, I scraped it with a mop
This price-performance ratio is OK there. The room is large and the location is excellent, so its shortcomings can be ignored
excellent location.
slightly a bit dated: bedroom doors needed a bit of effort to close. Could hear wind howling in tiny bedroom window gap.
spacious and with a kitchenette. When we checked in there was some condiments, oil, porridge leftover by previous tenants (we did not use)
free parking wasnt really free, paid GBP16 for overnight parking

AAlec Lyubomirsky (alyubomi)We started our travel to Iceland by driving around Iceland in a campervan, so we were hoping for a relaxing hotel stay in Reykjavik at the end of the trip when we pre-booked. We were not disappointed by the Eyja Guldsmeden. The location was only a few blocks away from downtown where there were tons of shopping and dining options, and the hotel itself was beautiful. In the lobby, we grabbed (included) coffee in the mornings and a reasonably-priced drink for happy hour. The service at the front desk was friendly and cordial. The room itself had a nice view of the mountains and was warm and cozy. It was a great stay and we would definitely go back to this hotel again if we are ever back in Iceland!
Our only difficulty, understanding this is mostly outside of the hotel's control, is that some of the sidewalks on the walk to downtown were extremely icy and slippery after a day or so of wintry mix that froze over. We had to be extremely careful making our way down to Laugavegur, which had much safer sidewalks. There were even a few buses and cars that couldn't make their way up or down the icy, hilly streets and had to work their way around. So if you are going in the Winter, be cautious and walk slowly!
GGuest UserThe room is quite big, one bedroom, one living room and one bathroom layout, the guest restaurant is relatively large, there is a huge island platform, it is very convenient to put things, the living room combed bed is put down and there is enough place to stack luggage, there is a large balcony, combed bed quilt is very small (I don’t know if there is still a bed that I didn’t find), The bath water smells very sulfurous. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen. You can park for free along the street according to the instructions given by the store, but there are many places with fewer cars (maybe because it is free). There is a paid parking lot across the street. Don't be confused (it is divided according to the middle line of the street). Behind the apartment is a pig supermarket. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the Rainbow Street neighborhood.
GGuest UserThe service was satisfactory and the location was great. There's a large supermarket and a Chinese restaurant nearby, and it's a 10-minute walk to the cathedral and city center, and a 20-minute walk to the Old Port.
Facilities: Excellent
Cleanliness: Very clean
Environment: Convenient for getting around, with the airport Flybus shuttle directly to the door.
Service: The front desk was very friendly and helpful, and the response time was quick.
WWyw112The bus hostel is really near the airport and quite walkable to major sightseeing like 20-30 minutes.
Yet the Windows curtain could not even cover it well so if you sleep near a Windows in summer (as the night will be very bright) You will affect by the light. There was men snoring really hard so it affect as well (though this is not about the hotel)
I got nose allergy and the entire time I stay in the hotel and it makes me feel very sick.
The self check in system is quite good, yet the reception will be locked after 9pm(?) I was coming back at 10pm and there was no staff help unlocking the main entrance which the password is different. They provide no information about this. A few of us (new guests or those coming back) are locked outside until a guest know the password show up. This certainly not a good service at all.
The toilet has automatic light which is Environmental friendly I like it, but it went off when I only have a short time in the toilet, this really not quite good.
But the location is good and there is bus travel tour pick up from here.
AAnonymous UserTwo people will feel that the room is too small, and one person lives just right. A bit out of the way, flybus+ Generally, I can send it to bus stop 13, and I am worried that the traffic is inconvenient to drag my luggage. As a result, it rained when it arrived. The driver of flybus drop off red line looked at the location map on my mobile phone. It was very nice to put me at the nearest intersection. I don't feel inconvenient. I like to leave the city center a little quiet. The tableware is very new, there is a capsule coffee machine, there is a public laundry room, and it is close to Bonus. I have not seen the staff during the whole process. I like it.
GGuest UserIt was all overall good. Friendly front office, clean and spacious room, toilet and shower room was small but it was sufficient for my use. Bus stop is 5 minutes walking distance away , US embassy as well (no use , simply mentioned though). Football stadium and sports exhibition hall is 7 minutes away.
GGuest UserThe room is clean and tidy, the service staff is very friendly, the facilities are complete, the breakfast environment is good, and it feels like returning home. It is worth recommending everyone to stay here.
TTUNGSANGThe hotel location is average, but parking at the door is very convenient. You can drive to see the Northern Lights at night. You do n’t need to join the group. You can save 2 to 300 per person and watch it in the car.
