I rested with my sister, we really liked everything, I recommend it, the hotel is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and nice, the breakfasts were wonderful, I also recommend a massage, you will not regret it if you choose this hotel « Melrose Rethymno by Mage Hotels”

Great hotel! Beach within walking distance. Beautiful, spacious, clean room. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast, with staff willing to help you with Greek (efcharistó, Elena...). At the reception, you can also get explanations and help booking excursions, no more expensive than elsewhere. Nice pool with free towels. Small downside: There's a dark, yet transparent window between the bathroom and bedroom. As a married couple, that wasn't a problem for us, but not everyone will appreciate it. I can't think of any other negatives. A truly great hotel; this is just what you want on vacation.

Van te voren hadden ook wij enkele reviews gelezen, het is werkelijk precies zo hoe alles beschreven staat, Echt Geweldig...bij t ontbijt een cappuccino espresso of ijskoffie, een omelet en elke ochtend zo vers en lekker van alles,niets is te gek.De fijne hoge matras met topper liggen zalig voor een goede nacht rust. de ruime goed uitgeruste badkamer met massage douche sproeier en lekker ruikende douche schuim bodylotion,een ruime kamer met ruim balkon met droog rekje en fijne stoelen,goed uitgeruste sport ruimte,alleen maar lof voor het lieve personeel bij t ontbijt zwembad receptie schoonmaak iedereen. elke dag schone handdoeken.mooi strand zand op 250 m lopen en supermarkten op loop afstand. een goede computer staat ter beschikking in de hal met zitjes die goed en snel werkt. juli 2025

nice hote but pool could be open to 10 pm not 7:30, at least weekends, and drinking water should be provided every day, its a 4 star hotel after all, 5 star breakfast sounds from balcony late at night will disturb you if want to sleep 10pm, dont need to bring your book hotell has small library

Nog nooit zo een vriendelijk personeel ontmoet en we hebben echt al wat gezien en meegemaakt. Het enige hotel waar je iedereen een tip wil geven maar dat kan natuurlijk niet. Dus kochten we maar een volle tas lekkernijen om de hele staff te danken. Een echte aanrader dit uiterst charmante en zeer net stadshotel. Voor mensen die de drukte van all in hotels willen mijden. Ook ´s avonds is het rustig en toch slaap je op een steenworp van het levendige Rhetymno. Een topvakantie gehad!

Een dikke 10! Er is niets aan te merken op deze accommodatie en op de medewerkers. Voor ons was alles perfect. Dagelijkse schoonmaak, frisse handdoeken. Goed en uitgebreid ontbijt. Ontzettend vriendelijke bediening. Voldoende plekken bij het zwembad en hier worden niet al door mensen van tevoren handdoeken neergelegd. Het hele gebouw en alle kamers zijn tip top schoon. Op 50 stappen vanaf het strand en een kleine 20 minuten wandelen naar Old Town. Goede restaurants en winkeltjes om de hoek. Kortom: niets dan lof voor Melrose!

Very pleasant visit. The location is very convinient, roughly 1km from the old town and only a block away from the beach. Hotel is extremely well-maintained and clean. Breakfast buffet has sufficient variety, some local delicasies and some daily variation. Above all, the staff is very nice, helpful and always ready to go an extra mile. My spouse had her birthday while we were staying and they brought a small cake with a candle for her in the breakfast. The lady serving coffee is an absolute gem, always smiling and ready to help.

Fris, mooi en rustgevend hotel op een hele fijne ligging. Vlakbij strand en stad. Super vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Denken met je mee. Lekker kleinschalig hierdoor persoonlijk. En zeer schoon. Super ontbijt. Lekker en gezond.
