Summer Dream

Excellent hotel. I travelled alone at the end of the season, the staff couldn't be more helpful. The receptionist nita was very helpful. I had lots of excursions so only paid for breakfast and I only ate there a few times because I left so early for excursions. I had a kitchen and was self catering. The room was always cleaned and the bathroom too. I would be happy to return again, the location was good. There are shops nearby including a supermarket next door and a decent bakery across the road. I had a pleasant quiet stay and hardly anyone was in the hotel which made it better. My tip, If you want to see spinalonga island you won't have excursions from this hotel so make sure you book a different hotel closer to that area.

A Wonderful Stay at Summer Dream Had a 5 night stay at Summer Dream. We were two families - and each with 1 Room Deluxe Apartment. The apartment was surprisngly large and comfortable and the AC worked perfectly.Facilities seemed quite new and well maintained. I will note that I was a little taken aback by how the immediate area OUTSIDE the hotel looked, but, it did not really take area the stay. Hotel located close to beach and a (40-45 minute) walking distance to the Old City. The pool area is large and there is not need to scramble for sunchairs. Also, there is a childrens' pool that came in very handy as we were travelling with a 2 year old.There is a nice supermarket next door. The staff was perhaps the most professional and friendly staff that I have encountered and that was a truly nice addition to the stay. Special thanks goes to Nitsa - who is always 'on things' to make certain that things are going well. The staff in the breakfast are (esp. Katerina - I think...) was also very pleasant and could not do enough for us. The food selection was good-and I appreciated their sensitivity to the needs of gluten-free individuals. One thing that could be improved is that I got the sense that sometimes some foodstuffs not consumed were put out again (desserts, rolls). Also, the music in bar area is nice-as is the woman working there - but it's on all day until midnight-a bit too much. Particulalry as not many guests seemed to partake of the bar area - and the music is clearly heard in rooms - until very late.

Fabulous hotel, fab rooms and cleaned daily. Great food at the pool bar, nothing too much problem for the chef. The staff were amazing and fun, great atmosphere. Perfect location next to supermarket one side, bakery other side, 2 min walk to the beach where you find a stretch of shops and tavernas.
