We only spent one night, and in the cheapest room. In that short time we can say that the facilities and the pool in front of the beach were very good. The room was a bit tighter, the bathroom without a shower curtain made it very uncomfortable.

We stayed at the Trefon for a week in June and had the studio apartment. It was spacious for a studio and very clean and comfortable. The room is a little dated but we didn’t mind that considering the service/staff. The hotel itself is lovely with a small pool to cool off. There is a luggage room in the hotel with a shower so if you have a late flight you can leave you luggage, spend the day at the pool/beach and then freshen up before your flight. A great location to explore the local area with a number of restaurants and shops within an 5 minute walk. Rethymno is only 10/15 min by taxi or a 25 min bus ride and a 2 minute walk to the local beach. The staff here are lovely, friendly and always ready to help. The night manger Robert was friendly and helpful. As were the other mangers but we didn’t get to enter act with them as much. The barman, Padalecki (apologies for the spelling) is a real benefit to the hotel. Friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Having his cocktails, ice cold beers and spending the evening talking is the best way to end the day. This is a definite recommendation and I hope to return in the very near future.

Thank you to the lady on reception who arranged a birthday cake for my son in the morning. Staff very very nice. Hotel spotless great location Breakfast very nice Pool Clean Rooms big and modern Would go back We had a great family break here and snorkelling is very good

Wir haben als Ehepaar unseren Urlaub im Trefon verbracht und waren durchaus zufrieden. Wer hier Zimmerausstattung wie in einem Urlaubsbunker auf Malle erwartet ist hier falsch. Das Apartment war sauber und wurden jeden Tag gereinigt. Die Handtücher wurden täglich gewechselt. Das Personal können wir nur als überaus nett, freundlich und zuvorkommen bezeichnen. Einen besonderen Dank und Gruß an Maria, Fotini und Ilia. Es kamen immer freundliche Worte über ihre Lippen. Im Gegensatz dazu sollten sich manche Gäste mal dazu hinreissen lassen beim betreten des Speisesaals ein "Guten Morgen" oder Kalimera heraus zubekommen. Wir hatten dort ein gutes Gefühl und wurden sehr herzlich behandelt. Das Essen war immer ausreichend und sehr schmackhaft. Dies wurde von uns auch den Koch bzw. die Köchin vermittelt. Die Nähe zum Strand ist fast nicht zu übertreffen und auch die Tavernen und sonstige Geschäfte sind zum Greifen nah. Denoch ist im Trefon von der Hauptstraße Platanias und dem abendlichen Trubel nichts zu hören. Auch das wöchentlich stattfindene Barbeque war ausgezeichnet. Ein ebenfalls wöchentlich wiederkehrender griechischer Abend mit Musik und Tanzvorführung war sehr schön. Für uns war das dann auch genug an Unterhaltung, da wir nicht darauf bedacht sind uns ständig unterhalten lassen zu müssen. Es war ein sehr angenehmer und erholsamer Urlaub. Seen from the outside it it was wellmaintained.It was clean.The staff friendly. The sea nearby. Breakfast ok.
But our room had a somewhat hard matress and we could hear the neighbours aircon on/off the whole night. We did not use the kitchen at all and i am sure that everything was working perfectly but a bit shabby.

Hôtel moderne en bord de mer.
Le studio était top : neuf, litterie confortable, belle terrasse.
L'hôtel devrait mettre a disposition une étiquette 'do not disturb ' car les femmes de ménage ont toqué a la porte a 9h le matin. Nous étions encore au lit...
Ceci dit très bel hôtel, je recommande.
