Immaculately clean hotel. Every morning the cleaning was done but it was done to such a standard that was literally Immaculate, hats off to the cleaners because this absolute gem is pristine. The breakfast was lovely and everything was so fresh. It has such a lovely, welcoming vibe and the two brothers are so very nice, polite and make you feel very welcome. All the family is lovely, always a hello and goodnight. Beds comfy, the location is ideal to explore the city and I will absolutely come back to this hotel

Returning to the Astali hotel, that we've stayed at several times, and everything first class as always. The location is great being close to the beach, and old town. Very friendly welcome from the family and staff which is so nice. Rooms and hotel spotlessly clean. Breakfast very good with plenty of choice and good quality produce. Also air conditioning that works well, which we were grateful for with the high temperatures that we experienced whilst there. Always enjoy our holidays here and hopefully will have more.

Voor de 15e jaar op rij in dit heerlijke hotel verbleven. Het voelt als thuiskomen. Super vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Brandschoon en goed ontbijt. De ligging is ook perfect 100 mtr van het strand en je loopt zo het oude centrum van Rethymno in. Volgend jaar zijn we weer van de partij.

This is a great hotel, fantastic location and great service. Food is great, rooms are well equipped and clean, regular cleaning and towel changing. It’s a small hotel not crowded, very pleasant and quiet inside. The only downside is the traffic because the area is crowded with cars and motorcycles the whole night. We had a great balcony with a nice view. Everything is functional. I’d give it a 5/5

Na 2 jaar hier weer 2 weken geweest , en nog steeds top , kamer is niet groot , maar de service en de schoonmaak absoluut wel , en s morgens een keurig ontbijt buffet, echt genieten met zeer vriendelijke eigenaren en personeel , komen hier zeker weer terug

We waren een week in dit hotel. Super vriendelijk personeel, geweldige ligging bij stad en strand. Bedden waren perfect. Goed georganiseerd ontbijt. Badkamer veel te klein, bij douchen liep de badkamer onder en ook de kamer had last van het water. Lift was veel te klein, we kregen een claustrofobisch ervaring. De hotelkamer was erg ouderwets ingericht en er was te weinig kastruimte om onze spullen op te bergen. Voor de gastvrijheid zouden we zeker terug komen, maar volgende keer kiezen we voor een hotel met meer luxe.

What a lovely find! The whole experience centres on 5* staff and the family who own the hotel. Perfect location, perfect price and a casual (which requires hard work) feel so that you can settle wherever you fancy. Whatever you want is provided without any fuss. Just perfect!
