We had an afternoon flight which consequently meant we arrived late at the hotel mid-evening. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, helpful and attentive. They made us welcome right from the start. We were the last people in the dining room, the staff were delightful and we weren’t rushed. A perfect start to our holiday. In the morning we found that our room had a balcony and looked out over to the beach and sea. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable and nicely furnished. The breakfast had everything you could possibly want. The local honeycomb dripping with honey and the natural yoghourt were just two of the breakfast delights. Throughout our stay whether we went to the evening buffet or the a la carte restaurant the food was excellent. We also thoroughly enjoyed their Lobster evening which had to be pre-booked but was good value for money. The hotel also stocked a good range of Greek and Cretan wines. The evening entertainment was varied and very good. The hotel is in an excellent location, opposite the beach and a short stroll into Rethymnon with it’s beautiful old streets and architecture, wealth of shops and restaurants. This hotel has a wonderful team of people working for them, without exception they all made us feel welcome. A hotel we would definitely come back to. As an example of the first class customer service, I was contacted on the way to the airport to let me know my wedding ring had been found in our room. The hotel arranged for it to be returned to me and their courtesy is very much appreciated.

Excellent hotel with very good location next to beach and close to old town. Room was very nice, clean and functional with nice sea view. Staff was helpful and gave lots of good advice where to go and what to see during the holiday week. Lots of restaurants close by. In total good value for money.

If not the excellent restaurant would rate even lower. It appears they have an evil practice of overbooking, and when we arrived , the room was prepaid, 2 months in advance and confirmation waucher on hands, there was a situation we had to siting the lobby just because reception said they don't has our booking at all. After involvement of tour agency, they offered as a goodwill free transfer to another hotel of theirs. Long story short, we get our room, but two first days was ruined. Also the doors' closing was possible only by ferry loaaad bang, so the first early guest usually woke up all the floor.

Spent a fantastic week here. The hotel was lovely, nice rooms, the main hotel restaurant was very good with great selection of food which was delicious. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful, making our stay so nice. There was a really nice pool which we didn’t use as their beach was more what we wanted. Although we did sit by the pool several times for meals. The beach was straight across the road with plenty of sun beds and at this time of year we always found some free whatever time of day it was. The beach was clean and the sea was very clear and warm, as well as being reasonable shallow for quite a distance. The hotel was also a nice distance out from the Old Town, but not a long walk in, which for us was ideal. Would definitely stay here again and would most certainly recommend. Great stay, thanks very much!!!

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The room was nice and very clean. Plenty restaurants , coffee shops and boutiques around. This resort is perfect for a quiet vacation. Easy to book excursions if you like, old town at 10 minutes walk. The staff took good care of us. Alexandra at the front desk answered all our questions and needs. The resto Piazza Di Porto with its wonderful Captain Vassilis offered us the best food experience, the buffet was good too and the little café was good for lunch and had entertainment shows every night. The beach was clean and nice and you can get service for food or drinks. For us it was a perfect vacation. Special thanks to captain Stella, to Maria and Toula, and all other staff who made our stay pleasant.

Recently returned from this hotel and we had a really enjoyable stay. The location just 10 -15 min walk to the old town but also on the doorstep are shops, bars and restaurants and it’s also near the port/marina and opposite its own private beach, making it an ideal location. We found the food excellent and served in a really well run restaurant operated very efficiently by Georgious and his team who were friendly and very professional. In fact all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Themed nights added to the variety of food on offer. There is also an a-la-carte restaurant which we didn’t try as we were more than satisfied with the offer in the main restaurant. There is dress code in the restaurant in the evening, but this didn’t seem to be enforced which was a shame as the majority of people seemed to make the effort. The only negative was our room which was a bit tired and dated and despite being on a higher floor very noisy. I would avoid a street facing room as sound proofing is poor (single glazed patio door and window) and noise from other rooms is very noticeable (you can hear drawers being opened and chairs being moved etc.) So if peace and quiet is really important to you, some of the rooms will not be for you. I think some of the rooms may have been updated but ours was in need of a refurbishment and was ‘tired’ and not 5-star standard. Our room had a bath/shower which for some people with mobility issues would prove difficult due to a fixed glass panel and ‘half wall’ which could make access and egress difficult for some. I actually had a fall in the shower and despite being reasonably fit, struggled to get out of the bath after injuring my shoulder. The room also lacked some amenities you would expect in a 5-star hotel i.e. iron, ironing board, decent hairdryer (low powered ‘tube type’ fixed to the wall in the bathroom), bathrobes, comfortable chair, decent size safe for valuables (the one provided was really small and key operated). The communal areas of the hotel we found excellent with a variety of attractive seating areas both indoors and outdoors with some overlooking the beach. All were kept spotlessly clean. The swimming pool/s are however small and if you enjoy a really good swim you may be disappointed. I would not say this is a 5-star hotel for the reasons mentioned, but overall this is an excellent, well run hotel with professional, friendly attentive staff that more than make up for some of the deficiencies with the accommodation. We would definitely return as we had a great holiday thanks to the location of the hotel, excellent staff, good food and pleasant communal areas. I would really liked to have given them a 5-rating but it just fell short in certain areas. Overall though a great well managed hotel and we will definitely return.

I really want to go revisit this hotel, lovely room, every morning there was a giant breakfast buffet with absolutely everything. The staff is very friendly and polite from the desk at the arrival, the cleaning personnel, the waiters, the wonderful SPA massage to the cheque out. There was a lot of entertainment going on every day. The hotel is situated a long the esplanade to the Old Town, with is a lovely walk. Lots of nice restaurants, shops and people. It takes 1 minute to go to the sandy beach with sunbeds and parasols, getting in and out of the water is easy, and you can walk quite "far" from the shore and out into the clear water. Red flags are up when the waves and understream is to rough. We had only one bad experience during our one week in Crete, but that had nothing to do with the hotel. (We got abandoned at the excit of the Imbros Gorge after walking 8 km by All Crete Tours at health risk in 40°C) I would highly recomend this hotel 🥰 the whole holiday was pleasant experience and even Imbros Gorge made its own story to be told 🤣
