Portreath Arms

Excellent all round. This is a fantastic oasis for travellers to rest, recuperate and be looked after. The welcome i received was warm, friendly and kind. Was given all the info i needed for my stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Nice touch to have fresh milk available for guests and any bits and bobs they need / have forgotten. I ate dinner and breakfast. There is a good variety of dishes to choose from and the food is wonderfully tasty. I thoruoghly enjoyed my stay. Thank you to all the staff who work hard to make this place so good.

We had 2 nights here while hiking the Southwest Coastal Path. We were received kindly by staff upon entering the bar area and that carried out by each staff person we met. Rm 7 had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. We went down to the bar for a drink and ended up eating dinner there. The food was fantastic so we ate there again the next night. I especially enjoyed the lamb pasta dish. Breakfasts were fabulous as well.

Great food, very friendly staff and great service. Very comfortable beds, short walk to the beach. Will return in the summer, couldn't recommend it highly enough. Food is properly cooked, and very tasty. Very affordable menu. Staff very helpful

Great Hotel Fantastic well run friendly hotel

Wonderful hosts. Lovely food. Skinner's beer; which is nice to see. A particular thank you to the serving staff (a Wednesday eve') who were first class and a credit to the pub. It's proper pub and serves very good value, well cooked food. We will certainly go back.

Nice room and pleasant staff . Very good breakfast , Only thing that tainted our stay was the dog was not allowed to eat in restaurant and we were directed to the bar or outside . Neither was an option as the bar was packed due to sport and outside was cold . So no evening meal . Some leniency on our dog in restaurant would have been appropriate given the situation .
