We booked this hotel as we were in the area for a function in Redcar We were pleasantly surprised by this lovely hotel. The hotel was clean tidy and well presented, check in was easy and quick. The room was clean neat and tidy and with a fantastic sea view. Bed was comfy and facilities good. We never tried the bar on the evening but there were a few guest in as we made our way out. Breakfast was really good and the perfect size for us, (we both had the full english) This is a hotel we will definitely use again when we are down that way Thank you

We had a lovely couple of days at the claxton all staff were very kind and friendly the family room was lovely very spacious clean and warm air con if needed breakfast included. And evening meal to order which we did first night there and HOMEMADE CHIPS perfect We will definitely book again Totally recommend

From my booking our stay to leaving . The staff where very friendly and helpful . We had a twin room on the ground floor which was really helpful for me being bad on stairs . The room itself was very clean and comfortable . I made good use of the coffee making facility and the Flat screen TV got a bit of use on an evening . We had a full English breakfast every morning which was really nice and included in the price . I would really recommend it to my friends and family and definitely use here again on future visits to Redcar . It is well situated on Redcars Esplanade so you have a nice steady stroll on the sea front . All in all a very nice place to stay .
