We have just returned home following an 11 night stay, having originally booked for 3, as renovations at our home didn't go to plan. Every single member of staff did everything possible to make our stay as stress free as possible. Our room was really comfortable and clean, Reception moved mountains to keep us in the same room every time we extended our reservation because we needed an accessible room, and the restaurant staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about both the food and drinks. We had pretty much everything from the dinner menu during our stay and were never disappointed - the garlic bread with cheddar cheese is the best we have ever tasted - and breakfast was really good too, a great start to the day. The hotel has a homely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Fantastic service and we will definitely be back, but just for dinner this time!

Comfortable and well priced rooms with great views, staff were really friendly and helpful on arrival and the next morning at breakfast. Beds were super comfortable and due to us being in the annexe area I heard no noise from the pub or nearby roads during the evening. I would have scored a 10 if it wasn't for a weird smell coming from the drains in our bathroom during the night where we had to close the door, but once the door closed we couldn't smell this so it's a minor issue, and also the ceiling above the shower in the bathroom needed the plaster redoing and what appears to be a damp or mold patch cleaning and repainting. If it wasn't for those 2 what I feel are easy fixes and minor in comparison to all the great things I would have scored full points.

Had a lovely experience at the Berkshire Arms, made a last minute booking and were greeted straight away and show to our table. The staff were lovely and were so nice and friendly, the food was very good and we didn’t waited long to get the food. It was such a pleasant evening and will definitely be returning back.

Stayed overnight while working in Newbury. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The reception staff very welcoming and the food and service at the pub next to none. I will deffo Etsy revisit when back in the area for work. Thank you all for a very pleasant stay

What a great pub in such a rural location. The staff are very welcoming and nothing seems to be too much trouble. We opted for a few drinks and bar snacks but we will definitely be back to try more of the menu as it sounds great. Thank you for making our visit so unique.
