Very old country hotel, but not old at all. Very unique. It is said that George Bruni's house is just behind the hotel. There is a very popular and unique bar. The room is large and clean

Booked this through my company’s app. Bull Inn is a very old building with lots of style and history. It is in a small village which is has lots of walks around it. I stayed on a Wednesday and the bar was very busy. Food is excellent, the bed very comfortable. There is complimentary water, Prosecco, yes Prosecco, and a small bottle of beer. I had one of the best sleeps ever, considering that it is not my own bed. Breakfast was very good and had a wide choice to choose from. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would book this place for a weekend break.

We visited as part of the Reading and Mid Berkshire Ale Trail and decided to stay for a meal. The beer was good but I was very disappointed with the timescales related to the meal. I went to the bar to collect drinks as it took too long for anyone to approach the table to ask us, followed by excessive time periods between courses. The restaurant was not full! Disappointing.

Return visit to the Bull, as usual using as a base to visit The Mill theatre. Great pains to preserve the ancient feel of the place, with all modern touches where appropriate. All you’d expect from 4-star hotel, including an excellent breakfast. Will use again on future trips.

All very pleasant, the food was fantastic, service was superb, awesome architecture! Advisory......Parking was difficult arriving during a busy period / shift. Not a major problem if you are patient and know / research, the " loop " around the village! Courtyard style carpark and approach road is hyper popular. 9.9/10..... I'll be back!!

It’s one of our local pubs close to home I love coming here mainly for Sunday lunch decided to venture to our nearby local the bull at sonning , beautiful day chilly but blue sky We chose chicken supreme and roast beef. We keep coming back over eight years we have been coming here It’s got a quaint homely feel and I love that Food excellent, and service is great. Staff are lovely So if you like an oldy worldly pub that’s quaint tucked away beautiful walks near the river. What’s not to like

The person that greeted us was unsmiling and silent throughout. I had requested a table for five, not in a dark corner. We were placed at a table in a dark corner with a heavy perpendicular beam dividing one seat from the other four. Prawn cocktail was served on a plate and there was very little Marie Rose sauce plus the four portions were of unequal sizes - mine very small. I requested roasted beam from the set menu - not available. Another guest requested one scoop of coffee ice cream - not available. The dark chocolate tart was hard and clearly bought in. No forks had been laid with which to eat the pudding, so we simply obtained forks from another table.
