Gorgeous food, great wine and good value for money. Enjoyed the wine too much so decided to stay the night. Fantastic room and had a good night’s sleep. We have never had a bad meal or poor service dining here over the years. The staff and management are always polite and helpful.

We stayed for our friends wedding. The whole day was ran beautifully and really took the pressure off the couple. My one complaint is that the dj supplied with the booking was very grumpy and unapproachable,even screwed up a request from the bride. He did this to most requests by people and proceeded to play s club 7 and spice girls. I understand that you cant play every request but just put out a bit of paper and say you will try your best to work your way through it. So my advice is that if you have a specific idea of what music you want definitely hire an external dj. Breakfast was good and room was clean and comfy (if a little over priced) A beautiful day on the whole.

A hidden gem!!
Great little traditional hotel in lovely countryside south of Reading. We had a huge room at the front,huge flat screen tv great big bathroom couldn't fault it apart from the doors not closing and locking properly! Good breakfast in lovely dining room overlooking a beautiful garden and river. Coffee could have been a freshly machine made or a cafetiere nobody around to see if we needed anything extra,like more toast! Will definitely come back!!!

I visited here yesterday for a family members wake. We were luckily enough to have private hire of the venue. The main dining room was set up well, with 4/5 large tables. There was a host who was serving tea and coffee. Big change from it normally left as a free for all or to help yourself. Buffet was served well, sandwiches and cakes. All seemed homemade which is lovely. The venue itself has a lovely garden area for children to burn off some steam. Overall great venue and experience.

A wonderful hotel and restaurant just outside Reading! Super friendly staff, amazing food and beautiful decor! We went there for a wedding, and they did not disappoint! It's a beautiful place with a lovely garden, and they can cater for so much! The food was delicious, both the wedding meal and breakfast were delightful, I can't be sure of the pricing as we were booked on a wedding package of course, but the food is great! I almost dropped it to a 4/5 based on a heating issue, apparently the heating comes on at a certain time and there was some confusion over when that was exactly. The staff were very helpful though and had plug in heaters to boost the temperature of the rooms.

Nice small , older hotel
Beautiful property with a few rooms. More of a wedding venue with nice back garden and large dining room . Our room was large. Some toilet and shower issues but not a deal stopper. Spotty Wi-Fi . About 40 minutes from Heathrow. Not too much else nearby - we stayed as staging area to get into Heathrow and to avoid chain hotels. Priced appropriately in my opinion
