The hotel needs renovation. The booking price is high, which is not relevant. It’s definitely not worth it. I would visit it again if the price is 150 lv per night, not 300 lv. Although the food at breakfast and dinner was very tasty and high quality.

It could be considered almost impossible to find a hotel that fits all preferences - travelling with kids, as a couple, team building, weekend escape or a full vacation, but Katarino can fit all. Amazing food and excellent service comes on the top. Not to mention the spectacular scenery and the excellent amenities. Really worth a visit!

This was my first stay at Katarino SPA hotel and I hope it will not be the last - I really plan on visiting again in the summer season (I love going to the mountains in the summer). The SPA was great, even though they don't have an indoors kid's pool (since I have two kids this is kind of important for me). Still, we could spend 1-2 hours in the SPA with the kids and they liked it (the water in all the pools is warm). In terms of location - it is relatively close to Bansko, but you have to travel by car each day. Still, there are a lot of kids' activities taking place at the hotel's grounds - we took advantage of the free horse ride, but there were many others as well. Overall - another excellent hotel in Bulgaria! I can't wait to visit it again.

We visited the hotel at the end of July and here are my impressions Positive The hotel is located in the heart of the forest, a very pleasant and quiet place. It's so calm and away from the city so on the evening you can watch the stars. The rooms are large, the beds - very comfortable. We were accommodated on the first floor and had a huge terrace. The food is magnificent. Delicious, freshly prepared and healthy. The pools are nice, with warm water. The hotel is very suitable for families with children. There are many different entertainments for them. Negative There is no air condition in the hotel!!! If it is 35 C outside, it is hard to survive in a hotel without air condition. It's so hot inside the building. I really can't understand how is possible in such nice place to miss something so important. Cleanliness in the rooms is terrible. 4 days they didn't clean the balcony, the floor wasn't cleaned either, the beds weren't made. Luckily the towels, robes and sheets were clean. Young boys cleaned the walls of the pools, but all the dirt fell into the water. Pufff Otherwise, the staff is very nice and kind, and for a short break, the hotel is wonderful. If u have small kids, u will enjoy the place.

Great getaway from the hot weather, good staff, the food is soon tasty and lovely... The spa is clean and very comfortable, the rooms are also great and clean, spacious and cozy... We have been more times and we like it a lot, it's in the wood, quite place for relaxing and breathing clear air

Energia delle montagne imbattibile. La struttura è solida e massiccia, non come altri hotel prefabbricati che si spacciano di lussso. Bella camera con bella vista.Il balcone era strano perchè vedevi attraverso tutti i altri balconi, quindi nessuna privacy. Il primo resort che scrivono il buffet anche in inglese. In generale molto buono, migliorerei questo: - nello spa offrono acqua con Shungit, questo è assolutamente sbagliato. La shungit cambia la struttura delle molecule è fa bene, ma le pietre devono mettersi fuori della bottiglia! le pietre nell'acqua la riempiono di metalli pesanti e si puo bere solamente omeopaticamente, tipo un cucchiaio di te. altrimenti danneggia i organi. Informatevi. Anche l'acqua con pezzi di limone non è igienica, perchè i pezzettini si ossidano e muffano microscopicamente l'acqua, vi lo dice uno erborista. I clienti non rispettano il silenzio nella zona delle saune e tutti entrano col cellulare anche se non è permesso. Cibo davvero fantastico con quasi tutto di produzione propria, anche il pane. Ci ha mancato i succhi naturali. Avevano succo di aronia ma pieno di zucchero purtroppo. La tisana di montagna è unica ed spettacolare. Anche se un po cara. Da gustare col miele, anche meraveglioso.

One of the best holiday resorts you can find in Bulgaria. Excellent indoors and outdoors facilities, very clean and well maintained hotel. Very professional and polite staff and great service. Extremely delicious and quality foods and drinks, big variety. Many of the foods served are all home made. Magical views and beautiful surrounding scenery. I would definitely recommend!
