Family-friendly Hotels in Rayong

it was a pleasant experience. The hotel boasts a welcoming ambiance, attentive staff, and comfortable accommodations that catered to my needs. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff who efficiently checked me in and provided all necessary information about the hotel amenities and nearby attractions. The lobby area exuded a modern yet cozy atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a long day of travel. My room was well-appointed and meticulously clean, offering a peaceful retreat during my stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the amenities provided added convenience to my stay. While the overall experience was delightful, one aspect that could be improved is the water pressure. The hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

The hotel is located in the centre of Rayong right beside the night market and other city facilities. The room has a kettle, fridge, microwave, plates, bowls and cutlery for enjoying your own food or from the local market to eat comfortably in the large spacious room - everything you could need. The hotel offers a shuttle to the beach, bus station and the shopping mall - central. The breakfast was a large selection catering, for westerner's and Japanese. All the staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They provided towels for the pool area which is next to the gym. This may not be a five start hotel but it has to be one of the most homely hotels I have ever stayed in. Some five start hotels do not take the care for their guests as this one does.

Stayed here for one night and due to circumstance was just looking for a good value as there was no time for a resort setting this trip to Rayong. In that situation I usually stay at the Marriott but for a place to sleep and run errands within Rayong this place was great. Room was bigger than I expected, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was solid considering the limitations these days but given the space they are using assume that in ”normal” times it is probably quite grand.

The location is ok. You can cross the road and walk to the sea. But the room has a lot of mosquitoes. Open the door and come in, mosquitoes are flying around. Had to have the housekeeper come and spray mosquito repellent, otherwise I definitely wouldn't be able to sleep.

The place is superb facing the sea with a huge beach facing the island of Ko Samet. The staff is very pleasant, too bad they don't speak English very well. There is a taxi service to take your ferry or speedboat to Ko Samet. The restaurant's cuisine is very good, especially the fish.

Stayed at Avatara Resort Hotel from 8 to 10 December 2021. We booked a Triple Room, which was very spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Layout of the bathroom was awesome with full view of the jungle. Location is not bad just a walking distance to the Sai Kaew beach which was lively and vibrant at night, with many restaurants nearby. Unfortunately this multistory building has no lift or escalators and a long walk from the lobby and beach. Our room was on the 5th floor and climbing up those many stairs is a big problem especially for those with disabilities or older age. Path and corridors along the building are poorly lit. Breakfast by the beach is very popular with guests but service is poor. On our second day, my son found out that the fresh cold milk he had with cornflakes has gone bad. Brought to the attention of the staff who was quite reluctant and no apologies, Restaurant staff should have pay more attention to the quality of food served. Poor and unfriendly staff; no smile, no greetings and treated guests as if we are a liability to them. The staff was busy playing with their mobile phones and chatting with their colleagues rather than paying attention to the hotel guests. We need to approach them every time we needed to order and foods service are poor. Serviette and tissue paper are not provided with the food, have to asked for them.

I have a place to stay. @tongtaphaview samed resort Koh Samet, Rayong Province, near Bangkok. I will tell you from the way to get there. We drive to Rayong, Ban Phe Sub-district, from Bangkok-Rayong, about 3-4 hours. Leave a car at the pier for 60 ฿ per day. Go for a boat ride at Nuanthip Pier. Normal boat round trip 140/person (30-40 minutes). , Speed ​​Boat round-trip 300/person (10-20 minutes). Upon arrival, there will be an entrance fee of 40 ฿ per person for the national park (just started collecting during the COVID period) and a minibus ride to the accommodation for another 50 ฿ per person. Although there are tricycle drivers to help lift things We walked a little bit to the accommodation. Upon arriving at the accommodation, the staff brought the welcome drink to serve (I'm very impressed here. The service is very good) The atmosphere of the accommodation is very good. First, I chose Koh Samet because I asked a local Thailand friend which island has not been overdeveloped since my early days coming to Thailand in the 1990s. His response was ”head to Koh Samet”. I looked for a value hotel on one of the more southern, less developed beaches which led me to Wong Duean Bay and the Vongdeuan Resort. The pool was a big draw. With the low tide being pretty extreme, it is really nice to have the salt water pool to cool off in and swim laps. The food seemed pretty authentic to me. With mainly Thai visitors coming in on the weekends it figures the food would be good at the Vongdeuan Resort. :) The staff were wonderful and always so fun to share a story or two with. The beach area all along the bay was extremely clean with no plastic on the beach or garbage in the water. This is a big plus when going to the shore in SE Asian countries. There are several beach restaurants but none of them had loud music, at least during the weekdays when I was there. It is definitely a sleepy and peaceful place to enjoy the water at high tide as well as the white sand beach for walks.
