Really enjoyed my stay. Weather was perfect for hiking, even took a swim in the outdoor pool. Food in the restaurant is very good. Coffee from the machine is terrible.

Everything was fine, but you can hear everything in the room, even when the neighbors are talking. It's hard to get any peace and quiet. It's loud by the pool in the afternoon and in the rooms too. The same goes for the night... the food was average, the complex is really lovely. The pool and beach are pretty full because the whole complex is open, and even locals can come and not notice that they aren't guests.

Croatia is a mesmirisingly beautiful country and it is really nice to visit it and enjoy its beauty. The hotel is situated in a small place called Rabac and overall I had a wonderful time there. The main highlights for me was the food at the hotel restaurant and its location. There was plenty of choice both for breakfasts and dinners and I would give it 5 out of 5 for it. The hotel also has a lovely sauna area where you can chill out ;-) and relax. The prices for massages were also of good value for money. The hotel is immaculately clean and it has the staff like cleaners from some Asian countries to do the hard work. And they are absolutely amazing, I do hope their pay reflects it otherwise it is not clear to me why the country with the high unemployment rates would bring people to work there. The economy rooms on the 6th and 7th floor which were overlooking the road are without doubt the worst rooms I have ever stayed in. They are tiny and they don't have a balcony or a terrace so the experience of having such a room is not great. I spoke to two people who upgraded to better rooms with the balcony/terrace and a sea view. So if you are picking up a room while booking this hotel try to choose wisely not to be disappointed. :-) The upgrade of the room is 25 euros per person per day when you are at the hotel. So if you are a couple you will end up paying an extra 350 euros per a week which I find to be too much as even better rooms are far from the modern standards in the hotel business. You can use sunbeds on the beach for free but they are a bit further away from the sea. It looks as if whatever can be sold in Croatia will be sold as you can't enjoy a view without paying for it. All these upselling of things which is a part of the hotel experience in the majority of other countries is irritating to say the least. On the first night at the hotel people were not allowed to use a terrace. The hotel doesn't have too many facilities on offer why to stop people from using a terrace with a beautiful view is beyond me. You cannot have your coffee in the morning there either as the only way to use is to buy something from very overpriced bar. When you arrive at the hotel there is no warm welcome or any welcome at al unfortunately. As it was a TUI trip for me with an early flight I was at the hotel at 10:30 in the morning and I was told to come at 14:00 or 15:00. It was raining cats and dogs and there was even hail on that day and to be sent outside in these conditions seemed to be more than unwelcoming. When I was leaving the hotel the receptionist did not ask how was my stay and I was not even was told "good-bye or thank you". In my opinion Croatia is way behind its competitors in the hospitality sector in comparison to other countries in the world. Its natural beauty helps it to attract the tourists I think. As Rabac is so tiny I do recommend to take a day boat trip which includes lunch and visit to two islands which I found to be a great value for

Location and view excellent. But that alone doesn't make a good hotel. Room cleaning borderline, never satisfactory. On the second evening we discovered that our room was infested with bedbugs. When we complained the next day, they said they could only get rid of them with a thorough cleaning. You should find out more about that. The only thing that can help is an exterminator. After some back and forth, we were given another room. That was okay. The staff were generally very grumpy. They only greeted guests if they did so first. The exception was the staff in the Hedera Bar. Everyone there was friendly. Boring evening entertainment. The same music every night. How about a Croatian evening? The food was bottom-notch. Poorly seasoned and always the same. But plentiful. We've seen other types of show cooking. All in all, mass processing with a canteen feel. Some things could be improved, but if the pensioners on the bus are happy, nothing will change any time soon.

The hotel is part of a huge hotel complex (Narcis, Hedera, Mimosa). Parking is very tight. The renovated room is modern and spacious, with a closet and plenty of storage space. The couch had a table. The double bed was two single beds put together. The balcony overlooked the roof of the dining room, with a partial sea view. The air conditioning only managed 27°C when the outside temperature was 30-35°C. Cleaning was inconsistent: sometimes good, sometimes less so. Bath towels were sometimes replaced, sometimes just cleared away. Dining room: We were assigned assigned seating for our group – we liked that. Drinks were included at the table, even with refills. The buffet breakfast and dinner were plentiful and varied, always including local dishes and freshly baked pizza. Beach: A short walk to the beautiful, crystal-clear pebble beach. The front loungers are state-owned and subject to a fee (€25). The hotel's free loungers are located in a designated area behind the beach, very narrow and always crowded during the day. About a 15-minute walk to the beach promenade to Rabac. There, there are more swimming opportunities at the lighthouse. There's a small supermarket with everything you need at the neighboring Hotel Narcis. We didn't need the pools or leisure facilities. Summary: Very suitable for families with children due to the good infrastructure and leisure options.
