Holiday Inn Quito Airport

The hotel is good in all aspects, eating is very convenient, and many restaurants around are good. If you go out early in the morning, the hotel will also provide free coffee and snacks.
Hotel Stubel Suites & Cafe

We stayed here recently with our birding tour group but came 2 days early to see more of Quito. Our first room was a nice, but fairly standard, hotel room with a great view over the valley. Our second stay, one week later as we passed through Quito on our way east, was (fortunately for us) in a suite with a kitchen and washer/dryer. That was wonderful since it gave as an opportunity to do laundry before continuing our travels. The hotel is located about 3.5 miles from the Colonial area of Quito (Old Quito). A bit distant if you plan to go by foot but easy enough by taxi. The included breakfast is good, although lacking in variety. About your only choice is in how you'd like your eggs prepared. We ate dinner in the cafe twice with our group, once it was just OK, the second time was very good. Service can be a bit disorganized but friendly enough.

El Crater

I have nothing but good things to say about El Crater. The hotel was quiet, and the views were spectacular. I couldn't ask for more from a hotel in Ecuador. The staff was attentive to our every need, and I really enjoyed watching the clouds roll in every day. The only problem that I encountered was with electricity. My very costly laptop is made of aluminum, and I could actually feel the current surging through the laptop. If you're going to leave your computer plugged in here, you will most definitely want to plug it into a surge protector first. I lost one laptop to that here in South America.
Ibis Quito

We are leaving for other parts of the country today but really enjoyed my 4 nights here. Mainly local business people - I didn't see any tourists at hotel. But very comfortable - rooms are small but good wifi, lots of outlets, and plenty of hot water. Located about 1/2 hour taxi ride from Ciudad Historico and walking distance to Mariscal. Good breakfast provided each morning. Adrian at front desk was kind enough to get a driver for us for a couple of days to leave the city. They do have a small gym as well. I hope the next places we stay in Banos, Cuenca, and Guayaquil are as nice as this.
Hotel Villa Lafayette
4.3/54 Reviews
Hygiene: clean! And clean every day! One day the cleaning staff did not come, the hotel staff also took the initiative to inform and ask if there is a need to change the clean room. Service: Warm and thoughtful! Very good ~ breakfast is not bad! I like scrambled eggs ~ very much. Facilities: There is no air conditioning or heating. It is a bit cold for the current weather, but it seems to be a traditional Quito. Environment: There is a small terrace that is very cute haha😆
