Hotel is located on North Gulou Street, Qufu, hometown to China's favorite philosopher: Confucius. The Confucius Temple and Confucian Family Mansion tourist attractions are just next to the hotel.This Qufu hotel has well-appointed rooms and suites decorated with Confucian cultural motifs. All rooms are equipped with air conditioners, cable TVs and international direct dial phones.

During my trip to Qufu, Shandong, I stayed at the Zhige Hotel. The website said it opened in 2025, but upon arrival, I discovered it was a converted student dormitory, with a street across the street from the reception desk. The room was small, with the washbasin right at the entrance. There was no elevator, so the front desk staff helped us carry our suitcases up to the third floor. Upon entering, the room was immediately suffocated by a strong odor, and the staff quickly turned on the exhaust fan. Later, I discovered that across from the room was a factory building, with four large tanks, a chimney, and numerous pipes and wiring on the ground floor. The window in the room was secured with two ropes, allowing only a small opening, presumably to block out outside air. Guests staying at the hotel are advised not to book rooms on the east side. The breakfast was limited. The next morning, while we were having breakfast, they kept bringing us food. A plate of grapes arrived at 7:30 a.m., and they said there was watermelon, but by 7:45 a.m., after we finished our meal, it still hadn't arrived. We reported this to the front desk staff, who apologized and gave us a ruler. On our first night, around 8 PM, we called the front desk to request some clothes hangers (there were only two in the room). After a long wait, they still didn't arrive. The next morning, we told the front desk again, and they sent them to the room during housekeeping. When we returned at noon, they still hadn't arrived. We told the front desk again, and they went upstairs to get some hangers themselves. Also, there was a no-smoking sign in the room, but there was still an ashtray. For a new hotel like this, how can it get a 4.9 rating?

Arrived at ten o'clock in the evening, the boss personally greeted and arranged a parking space. After checking in, he helped put the luggage in the room. The photo was a photo of another room I took before I left. The room was smart and the projector was very clear. Members can watch many of the latest movies. Overall, I'm very satisfied. The staff were very friendly, and the room was very clean. The shower and toilet areas are separate from the sink, so I can use them whenever I want, even in the morning. The laundry room is always stocked with new drum-type washing machines and dryers, and they even have disinfectant for the new sink. The breakfast was good, and the gym and lounge were both comfortable and clean. The only drawback was that my room didn't have a refrigerator, but I don't like cold drinks, so it wasn't a problem. The daily plate of local fruit and a handwritten note really brought out the warmth of the host. I'm so grateful to the owner and staff for their thoughtful touch, who gave me a souvenir from Gokbu and two bottles of water upon checkout. I hope to see you again soon.
