Feeling secluded up on top of the mountain that overlooks the Pacific Ocean is one of the million reasons we continue to come back and stay! Roy is the BEST, we have never had a bad experience any of the 6 times we've stayed at Layan! Cheers to next time!

The hotel was in a very nice location close to the beach. The room was clean and large if a little dated but overall very comfortable with nice big TV’s if you want to relax if it’s a bit rainy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast and also had a lovely meal in the restaurant one night. Pool area was nice and comfortable. Overall a good experience at a good price for a friends weekend away.

Estuvo todo increíble! La atención por sobre todo, no tuvimos ningún tipo de inconveniente. Estuvo todo 10 puntos. Todos los que trabajan en el hotel son súper amables. Volveríamos sin dudas! Los desayunos son riquísimos y la pileta abierta siempre un placer!

This hotel has beautiful views! The pool area is very nice, we enjoyed spending time there. The breakfast was awesome! There are several areas that need updating but overall, very clean and nice. The elevator does not work, so keep that in mind if you cannot climb stairs. Special shout out to Robert! He was amazing in every way. He helped us with everything we needed and made us feel so welcomed. From helping us order food, to giving us recommendations, and helping with excursions, he was so helpful and kind. We also loved Ray at the pool!

Loved the location with outstanding views and pool bar. Away from the hustle, yet you could walk (a small hike) to Beisanz beach, or take a taxi to nearby restaurants in Manuel Antonio or Quepos Marina. The staff, Robert, Aleandra, Allison and Steve, all made my stay very welcomed. They all went above and beyond to accommodate. Housekeeping did an excellent job daily. Angelo had a great personality and made the best drinks/coffee. He also made made breakfast a delight. I would definitely stay again.

I recently stayed at Layan Hotel & Spa and while there were some positives, the overall experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Bird watching and the views from the pool were indeed lovely, and breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The room had an awful smell and was infested with sewer flies in the bathroom. To make matters worse, construction noises from across the street and sometimes from the room next door woke us up every morning, ruining our peace and quiet. The most terrifying part of our stay was when a large, menacing scorpion emerged from the closet. This incident left us unable to stay in the room any longer. Despite this, the hotel refused to let us check out early, even though we notified the desk that we wanted to leave two days ahead of our planned departure. I am deeply disappointed with Layan Hotel & Spa and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and safe stay.

Wonderful hotel….. exceptional service by Meghan the manager, ALL of the wait staff and also maintenance and cleaning personnel…….GREAT food in the restaurant , and spectacular views from rooms, dining area, and pool terrace!! Pool bar is outstanding and the entire facility is clean and well maintained. We received courteous and professional service at all times…. we will DEFINITELY be revisiting this hotel in the near future!!!

The staff was welcoming and helpful in securing taxis and experiences, addressing any concerns, and overall we’re just very hospitable people as a group. It was a short (but hilly) walk to beach access which was wonderful! The hotel’s view is beautiful and can be seen from almost every spot in the hotel including the pool, lobby, breakfast area, and the rooms! The only thing I can say is the showers were a little hard to manage temperature (fluctuated from hot/cold frequently even after setting), and it didn’t have great water pressure. I would recommend this place to stay 100%!
