Millenium Manuel Antonio Park and Beach

We were a bit nervous about this place following some recent reviews however we were contacted a few days before to confirm arrangements. The room did not reflect the pictures but was clean, the bed comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. We did not have a car but there was a small number of on site parking spaces although access looked tight. The pool was cleaned every evening and pool towels provided. Laundry service was available for $1 per kg. Breakfast was very good but not open until 7am so if going to park or checking out early had to be missed and we saw a number of people have to leave their tables early after ordering. A 6.45 start would have solved this. There was no safe deposit box and whilst toilet was in a en-suite room the shower was in the bedroom with a clear glass screen so not private. The room was stated as having a patio but this was frequently used by other guests who failed to move when we were at the hotel so was rarely available to us. A sign indicating this was for our rooms use would have avoided this upset. The hotel arranged our ongoing transport.

I spent there 2 nights, during last one I was woken up by the urine dropping next to my bed and splashing on my head and staff (see the picture of the ceiling). When I raised that point to the hotel service they proposed cleaning (I was leaving already) and said that it is not in their scope of responsibilities and this is Costa Rica ecosystem...so basically they do not care. I was not aware that holes in the roof are part of the ecosystem... luckily it was not raining, I assume it is also part of the ecosystem so before visiting this hotel secure your staff and take an umbrella. 1 star because cannot be less

The hotel is a total scam! We paid in full for a 2 br villa, at 5am the day of our arrival they advised us that there was a problem and they had to reaccomodate us in another place put that there were 2 rooms. The new place was a significant decrease in price and quality and only one room. Neither the manager nor the owner would talk to us and they refused to give us any compensation. They are booking people in air bnb’s that are half the price of what we paid and keeping the difference. In our case it is at least $1000.00. You also pay them directly so Booking will not help you.

The property claimed to have "Free on-site parking". I booked the property assuming this was correct. When I contacted them to inquire about it they changed their listing to "No parking available" and refused to give a refund. If you see this review on a site and they are still claiming to have "Free Parking", run away. They also tried to get me to pay a $100/day "deposit"

This is a nice small affordable hotel. The room we had consisted of 2 full sized beds. I would suggest getting queen beds. The hotel is very clean and air conditioning worked well. The pool is small but nice. The free breakfast was a very good buffet. My kids really liked the free coffee and hot chocolate machine. The room has a mini fridge, but no safe or microwave. They let you use their microwave in the staff area. There were only a few English speaking channels on the TV: CNN, HLN, FOX News, ESPN, and MTV. There is wifi. The rooms are cleaned daily and the staff are very friendly. You can easily walk to the national park (which isn’t great) and a nice beach from the hotel. Bring groceries if you want to save money, as the restaurants and small supermarkets are very expensive.
