Silverwood Motel

This place was absolutely HORRIBLE!!! The pictures are very miss leading . It is horribly run down. The Pool is in a field in the back yard and there is a broken down old home with a broken toilet outside right in the yard of the motel. I booked 3 nights this week. When we arrived I was shocked by the state of the place. Then when I was given my key and went to our room it smelt like sewage !!! I went to the front desk to complain and there solution was to spray air freshener and put a wall plug in air freshener. It worked for a while. Then after we came back from supper the room smelled like horrible sewage again! At this time it was 8pm and my family and I were very tired of all this (my husband and I were travelling with our to young kids 6 & 9) I called the front desk and again their solution was to spray air freshener then I said that it was unacceptable and we needed a new room. I was told that they did not have one then I stated I am not sleeping in a room that smells like sewage! They did end up giving us a full refund (which I was very grateful for) but then at that point it was 10pm and we had to struggle to find another place to sleep!

We made our booking 3 months in advance. We were promised, in writing, 2 rooms side-by-side on the ground floor. Arrived after a 14-hour drive to find the office "closed" during what was supposed to be office hours. Finally received our room keys after waiting 15 minutes, only to discover that NONE of our requests were honoured. We paid $2667 for two (2) rooms for seven (7) nights, in advance. That's roughly $190 per night, per room. Our rooms (#3 & #32) were NOT side-by-side, and were nowhere near each other. Room #32 was NOT on ground level. When we returned to the office to complain, we were told NOTHING could be done about it. After a horrible first night stay in dirty, out-dated rooms, we returned to complain, again. Our family in room #32 was moved to room #10 and again we were told, that was all they could do. We were never introduced to either of the employees we met at the front desk (one female and then one male). We were never given an apology or any kind of compensation. We experienced an absolutely miserable stay at this motel for 7 nights. I would highly suggest that travelers stay ANYWHERE ELSE on the whole island of PEI, but BEWARE of the Silverwood Motel. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

Rooms were nice

We were put in back of property because we used third party booking . Not given the type of room we had booked . No drinking glasses provided in room . Ice came in a miniature ice cube tray which you had to get from office. Chairs in back of property were all broken whereas the chairs in front which could be seen by public were nice Adirondack chairs . And the tv service was just a streaming device no regular tv . The whole experience was a nightmare !

Cute, Clean, Rustic It was a very friendly welcome as we came to the front door. Although the guy wasn’t right there (it was after 7 PM) the contact number was right there AND he was quick to answer and come. Super nice guy, quick check in, a slight upgrade, and we were ready. The space we got was cute, rustic, clean, and cozy. The only complaint would be that it was late September and it got quite cool at night, with no option of heating the space up. All in all we would stay here again!

Nice motel, friendly owner run property. Clean, spacious rooms - the only thing complaints would be had a small tv and the AC worked fine but the curtains on the window completely blocked the airflow so had to keep them open so could feel it. Great area outside with bbq's and picnic tables, handy for cooking your own food if desired. Beautiful part of the island.
