We had an A+ stay! The hotel was absolutely spotless and staff were super attentive! We had a beautiful sunset room with spectacular views of the beach (and the beach was fantastic). Fin Folk Food and Harry's Dairy Bar are only steps away and definitely worth a visit.... the hotel gym sure came in handy after eating delicious food from both and all of the other delights the island has to offer! We look forward to coming back!

Don't waste your money. Almost everywhere you go in PEI - restaurants, hotels, shops - they welcome you with open arms and you want to return. Blackbush is the complete opposite. Room was nice, bathroom too, but at nighttime it sounds like someone is crawling through the ducts. Banging and clanking all night long. We had two staff members come the next morning to hear it, which they did, but said nothing could be done because we waited too long to report it. When they finally agreed to move us, they said if the noises happened again there would be no compensation (eventually offered 10% off) as it is a new building and they cannot control everything. Also, if you are looking for what you typically think of as a beach, this ain't it. It may be ok to walk along, but if your kids are looking for a fun day at the beach with sand to play in, you're better off 40 mins away at Cavendish Beach. We were really looking forward to our stay here but could not have been more disappointed. Charging $600 a night is robbery. There are so many places in PEI that care about your experience, but Blackbush showed it only cares about your credit card number. We booked for two nights but left after one. Forget the fancy pictures, read the reviews and go spend your money somewhere where they appreciate it.

Just returned from a 4-day, 3-night trip to PEI. Truly miffed by the reviews of the Blackbush Beach Resort that are less than stellar. We had an oceanview room that was spectacular. The property is immaculate, and we found the staff to be very helpful. We would return in a heartbeat.

Currently staying here from July 28-August 1, 2025. So many issues it’s hard to write a short review. The photos online look stunning— but don’t be fooled. This place is in the middle of nowhere with the closest grocery store around a 20 minute drive away. There is no room service, no restaurant at the actual hotel, no spa, no “resort-like” amenities. Breakfast is nothing homemade, but rather a bunch of store bought dry pastries and over boiled eggs. In regards to the rooms, the walls are paper thin. You can literally hear EVERYTHING. Every person walking above you, outside the door, entering their rooms, etc. If you want to have an early night and someone in your hall comes back late, forget about staying asleep. We thought it was such a nice touch that the bathrooms had heated floors, but unfortunately ours wasn’t working and it was freezing!! The most disappointing however, is definitely the management. CHECK YOUR BILL!! I was overcharged around $30 for my stay… talked to four different people, went through a series of text messages back and forth with staff (initiated by them) and finally asked to speak to a manager. The problem is apparently managers don’t actually work here. It’s impossible to reach one. Overall, staff is very passive aggressive and runs the place terribly. Ie. The robes in our room were wrinkled and reeked of spa water. It was obvious the cleaning staff just hung the same robes up that the last guests used and didn’t give us new, clean robes. I went down to talk to reception about getting new ones (there is no phone in your room to call down) and they said they would bring new ones up (no apology) but did not. We had to follow up an hour later before finally getting new robes hours later. Totally unacceptable for the price you pay to stay here. A few more notes in case anyone is interested—the website describes this place as a wellness hub— well in reality there’s a tiny hot tub, swim spa and tiny sauna. These are amenities meant for one family, not for an entire resort full of people to use. If one couple is in the sauna, you will not get a chance to use it. Not to mention the “spa” area is completely dangerous for little ones as nothing is fenced off and hot pools of water and saunas with hot rocks are accessible for anyone wandering to stumble into. Overall, terribly managed, and soooo not worth the price point. This is not a resort style hotel, as no part is “resort-ish”. This hotel is full of young kids as employees who text when you have an issue and avoid talking to you at all costs (they hide in a tiny office room by the front desk). No real service

It was absolutely amazing! We really enjoyed every part of our visit. The staff were amazing and it was so great to book the spa/pool for a certain time spot for just our family

This hotel was an absolute gem! Clean? Sparkling. You could eat off the floor—though I didn’t test that theory (you're welcome, housekeeping). The views? unreal. I opened the curtains and dramatically whispered, “Wow,” like I was in a travel commercial. If you're looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a view so good it’ll make you question your life choices, this is the spot. Would stay again.

The new location was fantastic, with a beautiful beach right behind the property. I also appreciated the free electric charger for convenience. The beds were great, and the two-bedroom setup was a nice touch. The free breakfast was solid, though adding more protein options would be a welcome improvement. The staff was amazing, friendly and welcoming. Overall, an incredible property to explore and walk around
