Currently staying here from July 28-August 1, 2025. So many issues it’s hard to write a short review. The photos online look stunning— but don’t be fooled. This place is in the middle of nowhere with the closest grocery store around a 20 minute drive away. There is no room service, no restaurant at the actual hotel, no spa, no “resort-like” amenities. Breakfast is nothing homemade, but rather a bunch of store bought dry pastries and over boiled eggs. In regards to the rooms, the walls are paper thin. You can literally hear EVERYTHING. Every person walking above you, outside the door, entering their rooms, etc. If you want to have an early night and someone in your hall comes back late, forget about staying asleep. We thought it was such a nice touch that the bathrooms had heated floors, but unfortunately ours wasn’t working and it was freezing!! The most disappointing however, is definitely the management. CHECK YOUR BILL!! I was overcharged around $30 for my stay… talked to four different people, went through a series of text messages back and forth with staff (initiated by them) and finally asked to speak to a manager. The problem is apparently managers don’t actually work here. It’s impossible to reach one. Overall, staff is very passive aggressive and runs the place terribly. Ie. The robes in our room were wrinkled and reeked of spa water. It was obvious the cleaning staff just hung the same robes up that the last guests used and didn’t give us new, clean robes. I went down to talk to reception about getting new ones (there is no phone in your room to call down) and they said they would bring new ones up (no apology) but did not. We had to follow up an hour later before finally getting new robes hours later. Totally unacceptable for the price you pay to stay here. A few more notes in case anyone is interested—the website describes this place as a wellness hub— well in reality there’s a tiny hot tub, swim spa and tiny sauna. These are amenities meant for one family, not for an entire resort full of people to use. If one couple is in the sauna, you will not get a chance to use it. Not to mention the “spa” area is completely dangerous for little ones as nothing is fenced off and hot pools of water and saunas with hot rocks are accessible for anyone wandering to stumble into. Overall, terribly managed, and soooo not worth the price point. This is not a resort style hotel, as no part is “resort-ish”. This hotel is full of young kids as employees who text when you have an issue and avoid talking to you at all costs (they hide in a tiny office room by the front desk). No real service

Wow! Contemporary facilities near the beach on the island. What a disappointment it was, as far as management is concerned. The natural setting is magnificent, but the resort is very poorly organized. The construction of a path leading to popular restaurants between the hotel and the condos (pompously named Villa) and the dunes hinders the serenity of the place. The dark nights of the island are destroyed by harsh lights directed towards the patios of the "Villas". The staff is friendly but will not be able to assist you in most cases. They do not keep their word when they say they will contact you again with information they do not know. The resort offers some quality products made locally that are not offered for sale and of which we cannot receive more information. The SPA segment should not be the reason for the visit. The facilities are very rudimentary. Finally, the equipment of the "Villas" is well above average. Very good. Only 4 problems. 1. There is only one size of pillow which is very large and firm 2. The window blinds flap if you want to open the windows to enjoy the sea air while maintaining your privacy. 3. The patio is downright dangerous for young children; bring a fence to block access. 4. These are not villas but condos that are part of an 8-unit building. A villa is a large residential home, often a vacation home, a pleasure resort (seaside villa, spa resort) and not part of 8 units. The asking price, however, is for a villa and not a condo.

This hotel was an absolute gem! Clean? Sparkling. You could eat off the floor—though I didn’t test that theory (you're welcome, housekeeping). The views? unreal. I opened the curtains and dramatically whispered, “Wow,” like I was in a travel commercial. If you're looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a view so good it’ll make you question your life choices, this is the spot. Would stay again.

We were fortunate to book their Winter Stay Package, which included two nights' accommodation, a $100 gift card for the nearby Fin Folk restaurant, as well as Sunday brunch at Fin Folk. BTW strongly recommend reserving for brunch (starts at 11 am). The restaurant was full when we visited in late December. The king room we booked was on the top floor (3rd) and featured large windows with commanding views. The room had a coffee machine, fridge, corkscrew, safe, iron and board, wall-mounted TV. The batroom had a large walk-in shower with wall-mounted shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, plus pump soap and body lotion on vanity and in-floor heating. No phone or clock in the rooms. The pictures featuring balconies and freestanding tubs are in the suites. Odd numbered rooms face sunrise and waterviews. Continental breakfast is available in the bar area in the lobby. Fresh baked goods available daily ( Portuguese tarts one day, croissants and pull apart buns another day) as well as fruit and yogurt. Coffee and tea are available throughout the day. Unfortunately, no juice is available at breakfast. Breakfast is available from 7:30 until 10. Wine and beer are available for purchase from the bar. We had a few issues that did not affect our stay. We were unable to control/ turn off the fan in the room. We were offered a different room however, we were already settled in and enjoyed the 3rd floor location. Despite trying to adjust Oasis (hot tub and swim spa) to maximum temperatures and waiting an hour, the temperatures did not change. Sauna worked well. Reception staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. We were able to arrange a late check out so we could enjoy a lunch at Fin Folk before leaving. This resort opened in September. Based on its location and facilities offered, it will be a welcome addition to the Island for years to come. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this resort for 2 nights in November. It is a beautiful property very well decorated with local artists' paintings throughout. Ian Cheverie, the guest experience manager, is a great asset to the resort and really enjoys being in the tourism industry. All of the staff we met were very friendly and professional. We enjoyed a couple of meals from FIN folk food located on site as well the food was amazing .we are planning another 2 night staycation for late Dec and would recommend this resort to anyone looking to unwind.

We enjoyed a great last-minute staycation at this resort . The room was great with an amazing view. The desk staff were very welcoming. Housekeeping did a great job as well. Ian Cheverie, the guest experience manager, is a great asset to the property. We enjoyed a couple of meals at Fin Folk food during our stay and food was very good. We would encourage people to book a night or two at Blackbush during the low season and take advantage of the great rates.

We had an Amazing stay here last weekend! Great for when you have Dogs! They are extremely pet friendly. Such a great location. Their accommodations are very Luxurious. Stayed in the sunset suite with perfect views. Don’t forget to try their restaurant FIN when you stay here. The fish tacos are incredible! Will be going back!
