Soap dispenser in shower was snapped off and shower drain was not attached to the floor it would slide around leaving a hole large enough for your foot, leg and ankle to fall in. It was pretty dangerous someone could easily break a foot or leg depending on how far they trip into it.
This is a historic building it does not have an elevator, this was not a problem for me but anyone with mobility issues might want to look at the pictures of their stairs to decide if they can manage.
Not a great value for what you get, but better than many Canadian hotels in 2024.

It's a very old building and it feels great to live in it. But the room is not heated enough, especially when it is minus ten degrees Celsius outside. I didn't notice it at first, the heating was on for a long time and the temperature rose slowly. There is only a small wall heater in one room, and a relatively large fan that blows cold air. I reported it to the hotel, but it was not resolved well. The temperature only started to rise slowly the next morning when I woke up. Other services are still very good.
