Hotels in West Street/Kaiyuan Temple, Quanzhou

I chose this hotel because I was attending Leehom Wang's concert at Jinjiang Sports Center and also wanted to explore Quanzhou's local cuisine. Its location felt like a good compromise between the two, and I admit I took a bit of a chance on it! To my pleasant surprise, it turned out great! The environment was very comfortable, and crucially, there were no unpleasant odors – my biggest pet peeve when staying in hotels while traveling. The front desk staff, both the young ladies and gentlemen, provided excellent service. They even offered a complimentary room upgrade and a lovely welcome gift upon check-in! A special shout-out to the lady with the low ponytail; her gentle and polite manner was truly delightful, haha!

My friend stayed in a Qing Dynasty building renovated homestay two years ago. He praised it and recommended it to me. It was very conveniently located near West Street. Although the building is a bit old, it doesn't look dilapidated. After the renovation, it is both preserved and renewed. Every patio is my favorite. The room I stayed in is more spacious and comfortable after the upgrade. The breakfast made by the housekeeper is very delicious. It's a pity that I didn't meet the owner this time, otherwise I could have exchanged tea ceremony, but in the end I bought a few bags of tea from a distance, which is also a full load.

Location is good, we can walk to Guan di Miao, Qingjing mosque and Kay yuan Temple, around 3 km, for us it's not too far Everyday they clean our room, it is very satisfying. Front desk officer also very good. Overall our 4 nights stayed is satisfied, recomended

This is our first vist to Quanzhou. We picked this somewhat dated looking hotel (from the outside), we were positively overwhelmed in every respect (hardware, software, location, service...) The hotel is very stylish (mid-Century modern) and well thought out on residence experience. The interiror designer (谢柯) is highly respected. Our concierge - Andy looked after us in every step of the way; he made an effort to reach us before arrival, gave us great recommendations on food, activity planning, & gifts preparation. The dinning room on top had great service, view, food and ambiance. The staff (matradee and 小西）accommodated us even though we arrived near their closing time. I think we also met the GM who treated us like friends. Quanzhou is an ancient city full of history busyness and things-to-do like most of cities in China, but this beautiful boutique hotel is truly full of pleasant surprise and an inviting escape in the big country.

Overall: Excellent, highly recommended! 1. **Convenient Location & Transport:** The hotel is about a 20-minute drive from Quanzhou Station and a 20-minute walk to the Bell Tower. Several bus routes right outside the hotel offer a quick two-stop ride to West Street (where the Bell Tower is located). 2. **Exceptional Front Desk Service:** The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful and meticulous. They provided excellent local travel tips and even offered a generous selection of complimentary snacks, tea, coffee, and useful little tools. Their service was truly commendable. 3. **Room & Bathroom:** The room itself was standard, but the bathroom was impeccably clean – a definite plus! (On a side note: I wouldn't recommend staying in a guesthouse on West Street. It's incredibly crowded, a pedestrian-only area, making taxis very inconvenient due to narrow streets, and the accommodations there tend to be older/dated.) 4. **Delicious Breakfast:** The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, all made with fresh ingredients and tasting absolutely delicious. Highly recommended! 5. **Special Shout-out to a Front Desk Staff:** The gentleman at the front desk (whose name I regrettably didn't catch) provided exceptional service. A big thumbs up to him!

This time we are three generations of grandparents and grandchildren to travel and play. The first stop is Quanzhou. We stayed here for 4 days and stayed at this homestay for 4 days. First of all, the location of the homestay is good. It is in a quiet alley at the back of West Street. The noise of West Street will not affect us at all. Sleeping is also very practical. This small street is called Jiadi Lane, it is said that there are many top-notch members, academicians, etc. This time, the children to play is also happy, blessed. There is a flower hall opposite the homestay, all of which are exterior scenes. I think the shots are good, all of them are exterior scenes. Out of the small street of the homestay, opposite the three-legged tiger, a southern specialty porridge, stew pot in a restaurant in a dish. Very delicious, our grandparents and grandchildren love it for three generations. Follow the three-legged tiger to the street, about a minute walk, pass a road with traffic lights to the West Street Pedestrian Street. There are many people here during the day and night. At 11 o'clock in the evening, the night market opened, and it is said that it will be open until 3-4 in the early morning. Ok, the location feels quite clear. I am with the elderly and children, so this location is very suitable for us. If you want to play out, it is West Street. If you don't want to play with the elderly, the child can walk back to the hotel. Let's talk about the interior of the room. In fact, we have no special requirements for accommodation conditions. It is safe and comfortable. It happens that this homestay is satisfied. At the same time, they are also satisfied, convenient and simple. The three of us, two adults, one person and a 72 cm high box, the child took a small box that can be put on the plane. Can be put in the room. After putting it down, the walk in the room is not affected. After all, it is a state of spread. It is already very happy to be able to put it down. Opposite the room is the washing machine and dryer. We northerners have not felt such hot weather. We basically wash clothes every day. With the washing machine and dryer, we basically wash today and wear it tomorrow. The store is also responsive, and I have the habit of tasting incense. The lighter can be confiscated at the airport. The store took the initiative to give me a lighter after knowing it. I also allowed to light incense in the room, which is really love. The store family is also very good, very talkative, everything you want to know he can give you a choice and plan. This time we are a free trip for a month, all the itinerary is made by ourselves, because with a lot of good suggestions from the store, I did not run a long way to the online Raiders, can be solved at home, absolutely not far away. Hahahaha, this is really a fairy homestay, more humane than the hotel, and a more experienced place ～

The hotel is luxuriously decorated and the environment is hygienic. The temperature difference in Quanzhou in the past few days (spring) is large, the highest temperature at noon is 20 degrees, and the night is about 10 °C, but the central air conditioner of this hotel does not provide heating, and it can be cooled! so strange! ! Such a cold night, such a high-end hotel can not turn on the heating! Even the air conditioner of the mid- and low-end small hotel can heat it. The air conditioner of this hotel can be cooled! I gave feedback, the hotel's answer is that the central air conditioner is controlled by the engineering department, and whether to turn on the heating can be determined by the engineering department. If I feel cold, they can provide me with a heating tablet. It is a white oil stat, similar to the last picture. Anyway, I am not used to it. Can not control the temperature, there are three grades of small, medium and large to adjust the heating. Turn on the heating tablet to wake up, do not turn on the heating tablet to wake up. Every night, you have to get up, turn on, turn off, turn on, turn off, turn off, repeatedly adjust the heating tablet... Living in such a luxurious hotel, you can't control the room temperature. I lived for a few days, lived to doubt myself...

The location is absolutely superb. Its proximity to local culinary hotspots is a major plus; Dongxing Beef Noodle Shop, famous for its incredible mixed noodles, is just diagonally left from the Donghui Building parking exit. A little further left, you'll find the internet-famous Shuimen Guozai Noodle and Vermicelli Paste. Most popular eateries are within a 1km radius. There are also plenty of small white local rideshares right outside, making it incredibly convenient to reach various attractions. The complimentary map from the hotel was also very handy. While the rooms are definitely on the older side – quite small with a compact layout, and I wasn't keen on having to shower in the bathtub – the overall facilities are well-maintained. However, the single biggest drawback was the severe lack of power outlets; only one side of the bed has a socket, which is a nightmare for anyone who likes to charge their phone by the bedside! On the plus side, they offer a complimentary souvenir daily, and milk grass jelly in the evenings. A late checkout until 1 PM is also a thoughtful perk. My child thoroughly enjoyed swimming every day, and the pool was immaculately clean! Despite some minor issues, I would still highly recommend this hotel to friends, primarily because of its unbeatable location!

Three minutes before my flight, I received a call from the B&B. They quickly added me on WeChat and sent me a guide to Quanzhou. They also told me to tell them as soon as I landed so they could turn on the AC in my room. I have to give them a thumbs up for that service [snickering]. Now, let's talk about the B&B itself. The location is great—close to Guanyu Temple, but still a quiet spot amidst the hustle and bustle. It's tucked away in an alley, making it easy to find once you're there. It's also convenient for eating and drinking nearby. We were there off-season, so we upgraded to a king room. The room was spacious, and they even gave us free fruit. The breakfast was also quite good. I've already recommended it to friends, and they all said they'd stay there again.

Convenient Location: Situated close to major attractions and business districts, with plenty of dining and shopping options easily accessible nearby. Excellent Service: The front desk staff were highly responsive, and the room service was meticulous and attentive. Well-Equipped Facilities: The rooms were clean and tidy, featuring comfortable bedding and strong water pressure in the bathroom.
