Hotels in West Street/Kaiyuan Temple, Quanzhou

We arrived at the hotel around noon, and the front desk allowed us to check in early. Since the room we booked didn't have a window, the hotel upgraded us to a room with one, which was very thoughtful. We received a fruit platter upon check-in and warm congee in the evening, making for a fantastic experience. When we checked out to go sightseeing, they even provided extra bottled water. I'll definitely choose ECHARM again next time.

1️⃣The hotel's location is really invincible. It is located at the important landmark bell tower. It is very convenient to go to the attractions in the old city. You can go back to rest at any time when you are tired of shopping at noon. 2️⃣The upgraded one-bedroom room on the east side is much larger. It is quite comfortable to live in. The only drawback is that there is a certain amount of street noise, but the hotel is equipped with earplugs. Andy, a follow-up colleague, also helped to reduce the afternoon tea in the hotel because of this noise problem. 3️⃣The breakfast is quite comfortable, mainly in terms of environment, landscape, and layout. However, there are a few cold dishes, which can be improved. 4️⃣The streets here are really beautiful, and there are terraces and rooftops. 5️⃣Finally, I want to say that the service is really good. Andy asked us about our needs in the morning, noon and evening. When I left, he gave me toiletries. He also gave me a box of Minnan rice cakes, which is very considerate. ❤️

I chose this old hotel, mentally prepared for what to expect, but reality still hit me a bit. The bathroom fixtures felt like something from the last century – a cheap glass partition held together with white silicone sealant. It barely qualifies as a guesthouse. I did see attempts at modernization, like the automatic flush toilet and a plastic phone holder from Pinduoduo, but the cramped space made it impossible to enjoy. The soundproofing was also terrible; I could clearly hear conversations from the next room. To be fair, the service was genuinely excellent. There was concierge service upon arrival, the front desk staff were very professional, and the breakfast standard was higher than many five-star hotels I've stayed at in other cities. The value for money is truly outstanding, especially compared to overpriced options like All Seasons, Orange, and Atour. The signature 'Mian Xian Hu' (vermicelli paste) was as good as what you'd find at established local eateries. Both Western and Chinese dishes were available and satisfying. The location is convenient; it's a quick bus ride to the old city, or you can even walk. There's a food street next door with plenty of dining options. I enjoyed a good beer and tried Mian Xian Hu and 'Tu Sun Dong' (sea worm jelly) there. However, I decided to switch hotels the next day hoping for an improvement, but it ended up being even worse.

The B&B is located in a small alley, making it a very quiet place to rest at night. It has four floors, with a double room on the top floor. There's only one unit, consisting of two separate small rooms joined by a hallway. While the rooms aren't large, each one has a separate shower and toilet, making them very comfortable. The common areas on each floor are spacious. Free water, drinks, and tea are available in the common areas on the second and third floors, and the fourth floor boasts a separate, free laundry room with dryer and a terrace for enjoying the view and hanging clothes. The front desk lady was very welcoming, welcoming us, guiding us, and helping with our luggage. She also recommended some excellent food before our check-in, which I highly recommend! Although the fourth floor is a walk-up, there's a dedicated elevator for luggage that takes us directly upstairs. Overall, the B&B was very thoughtfully designed, not using all the space for rooms. While there aren't many rooms, the common areas are spacious and comfortable.

I was very touched by my stay here. I had to book a room very last minute for the October Golden Week holiday, and ended up choosing the relatively safe Holiday Inn. This particular hotel offers a complete range of amenities. While they don't have cribs, other baby essentials are very well-stocked. Also, one day when we returned from an outing, I noticed a note from the staff saying they had left extra water because they saw the baby needed formula. They even provided shaving supplies, probably noticing my husband shaves. Finally, when we checked out, the doorman gave a toy to our baby 🧸.

My family of 5 had a wonderful stay. The rooms are very spacious, especially room 209, which has 2 floors. The location was initially a little hard to find, but after we figured it out it was an awesome place we enjoyed staying at and coming back to everyday. We even added an additional 3 days. The bed was very comfortable and clean. One person in our group had to sleep on a soda bed and that was comfortable too. They provided plenty of bottled water, soy milk, and toiletries. The staff was very nice. Greeted us everyday and even helped us move our suitcase to the main street, Zhong San Lu. We will definitely come back again, and have shared the info with our other family members for future stays. Want to thank both the morning and evening staff for taking care of us.

The guesthouse is located in the ancient town, not far from famous tourist attractions. The environment is beautiful, the facilities are complete, the hygiene is excellent, and the service is warm and welcoming. Since I arrived late at night, I explained the situation to the receptionist, and a young man was specially arranged to wait for me to check in. They even provided complimentary fruit and candied fruit upon arrival. Their thoughtful service met all my needs, and they responded to and resolved all my questions promptly. They also enthusiastically recommended nearby restaurants, attractions, and puppet shows. The breakfast was exquisite and delicious. This stay was fantastic, and I would definitely come back again!

This homestay is near West Street. The location is very good. You can walk to West Street. It is not noisy at night. The boss also upgraded the room type. The service is very intimate and friendly. It is responsive. The mineral water is gone. Give it, the service guarantee is very good, the bath water is also very rushing, The bedding is warm and comfortable. If you come to Quanzhou next time, this is the first choice. It is affordable, the price is not expensive, and the price/performance ratio is very high.

The B&B is very suitable for taking photos. There is a Xiyu Bakery at the door, where you can eat and chat with your friends. The location is very good. You can walk to the Bell Tower, West Street, various snacks and hairpins, and Kaiyuan Temple is also very close. The service is also very good. I called and added WeChat in advance, and asked in advance for other needs. The room has a smart toilet, disposable towels and bath towels, and the bedding is also very comfortable. The only drawback is the stairs. Overall, I am very satisfied.

This hotel is located in an alley on the west side of Jiuyi Street's Brain Computer Mall. It's not immediately obvious when facing the mall, but if you look to your right, you'll see a large, clear sign. It's not actually *in* the Brain Computer Mall building. It's closer if you go through the nearby Dragon Palace Alley, or you can even use 'Quanfang Bakery' as a landmark. The facilities are quite new, and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The gym is on the smaller side. Transportation is convenient, as it's within the operating range of the 'Xiaobai' electric vehicles. However, the rooms with internal windows are a bit awkward; they're only suitable if you don't plan on spending much time in the room, as you can't see the weather outside. The complimentary 'goodnight porridge' is also self-service on the second floor. Nevertheless, amenities like the washing machine are good, and the service is quite satisfactory.
