Qingdao Licang District 5-star Hotels

Went for a weekend trip with my partner. We wanted a place that is central to visit the mountain area (with the fishing village etc) and the beach. It’s quite far away if you plan to take transport but by taxi it’s okay. In China location is key since every city is so big. The hotel amenities however are incredible and so is the staff.

Planning a trip to Qingdao's coast, I came across this hotel on Trip.com that surprisingly had no negative reviews, so I made a point to book a stay and experience it for myself. The hotel is a franchised property under the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). I've stayed at IHG properties in other cities and have always appreciated their consistent service philosophy. **Facilities:** The hotel is well-equipped, with spacious rooms that offer plenty of movement. Some smart features, like electric curtains, add a modern touch. The air conditioning was very effective, and the wet/dry separation in the bathroom was very practical. The large, comfortable mattress was excellent. The hotel offers both above-ground and underground parking, which is incredibly convenient for guests traveling by car. **Cleanliness:** The hotel maintains five-star hygiene standards throughout. The housekeeping staff were meticulous and diligent in their work. **Location:** The hotel is situated in a business development zone, surrounded by office buildings. Wanda Plaza is just a short distance away, offering numerous dining options and making it very convenient for meals. **Service:** Overall, the hotel's service was good. However, a bit more warmth and smiles from the front desk staff would elevate the experience even further, as IHG front desks typically excel in this regard. The proactive and enthusiastic welcome from the lobby greeters and bell staff, in particular, was commendable. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay. The hotel's breakfast buffet was incredibly rich, and the Western dishes tasted great. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!

This is a perfect travel experience. From check-in to check-out, the service is thoughtful and warm, which fully satisfies the butler-style experience. In particular, elaine, a colleague in the customer relations department, carefully helped me solve the dietary problem and gave me an exquisite fruit plate.

There’s a mini refrigerator in the room. However cooling or freezing beverages seems impossible. It is quite annoying that many children with their impolite parents make the lobby, public areas and room floors extremely noisy during the Chinese public holidays. After checking-out, I received phone call from the staff who asked me to post a five-star comment on Ctrip with the contents she provided. I believe that everyone who can see this kind of comment could verify that it was not a true comment written by the guests themselves. I don’t think the comments of this hotel shown on Ctrip are genuine. It is obviously that this kind of comments may mislead others.

The Fuxin Building boasts an excellent location right next to the Municipal Government, which provides a reassuring sense of security. The hotel staff proactively upgraded our room. The bedroom was remarkably spacious, offering plenty of room to move around, and the bathroom was also generously sized—a design I truly appreciated. The room layout was well-thought-out and comprehensively equipped, featuring a separate washing machine and microwave. This made doing laundry or reheating food incredibly convenient after a long day of exploring. The room offered lovely views, directly overlooking May Fourth Square, where we could see the landmark 'Wind of May' sculpture and the sea. In the evenings, we could even catch a glimpse of a portion of the light show. One aspect that pleasantly surprised us was the hotel's dedication to hygiene and environmental responsibility. From individually packaged disinfected towels, bath towels, and slippers to the electrically changing toilet seats, every detail made us feel that the hotel was both clean and eco-conscious. Moreover, my child absolutely adored the restaurant's breakfast. The buffet offered an extensive variety, including not only standard Chinese and Western options but also fresh rice and various stir-fried dishes. Even specific items like fried dough sticks containing eggs were clearly marked, which was an incredibly thoughtful detail for children with egg allergies. We truly appreciated this consideration. The restaurant staff's demeanor perfectly matched the hotel's star rating; their service was proactive and genuinely friendly. During busy periods, they would assist guests in finding tables and even offer drinks to diners from a mobile trolley. Their attentiveness and proactive approach were evident in every aspect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Overall, it's highly recommended.

Service: First of all, the aunt is really very enthusiastic. After we booked, she quickly contacted us to find a place and led us in. The aunt has a Teddy dog at home. This dog is really fragrant and very friendly. It is very cute☺️ Facilities: This room is converted from the aunt's own community, so it is a bit far-fetched to say that it is a hotel. You must have a good psychological expectation. The room is not big and has a public bathroom, but it is very warm. The aunt seems to be in the living room all the time. If you have any questions, you can ask at any time Hygiene: Except for the toilet, it is okay. The aunt cleans it up. We don’t ask too much. The bed is clean, so the stay is not bad👍 Environment: This environment is really good👍👍👍👍It is very close to the 5.4 Square. You can directly see the lights of 5.4. The nearby subway station is also very close. It’s really good👍 Downstairs is the supermarket in the community Overall, it’s really good. The transportation is too convenient. Firstly, the location is incredibly convenient. It's right by Exit C of Metro Line 3, just steps from the exit. Secondly, the cleanliness is top-notch. Rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard, and all areas, including the main room, bathroom, and kitchen, were spotlessly clean. Thirdly, the air conditioning is very powerful. It doesn't automatically switch off when you leave the room, ensuring it's always wonderfully cool when you return. Fourthly, the facilities are well-equipped, with kitchenware and dishes readily available upon request. The only downside is that the signage at the entrance is too small. I circled the building once and still couldn't locate the hotel, eventually having to ask a nearby staff member for directions.

The sun was great, and the place was clean and hygienic. The platform recommended it, and it has an elevator and is quiet. It's close to the water and conveniently located in all directions. It's right by the beach, and within a short walk there's a delicious seafood restaurant. It's fantastic.

Very satisfied, in the old community, but the doorman is very enthusiastic to help find a parking space. The facilities in the house are clean and tidy, very clean and sleep very comfortably. It is also very quiet at night. The landlord has a very good attitude

The stay experience was very satisfactory. After arriving at the store, the staff took the initiative to upgrade the sea view room for us for free. The scenery outside the window is really beautiful. The service staff at the hotel are kind, answer all questions, and reply quickly. The location is also very convenient, walking to the nearby food street and subway station is very close. The room was clean and tidy, well equipped and comfortable to live. It was a very pleasant stay experience and would recommend it to friends
