Adults Only, Royalton Chic Punta Cana Resort & Casino

I'll start this review by stating trip advisor has a rating of 4 star? Its lucky to be a two star rating. We met our group of 20 at this resort, we had what they call the diamond club in which your group has their own butler. Thank god for him he went above and beyond taking care of us trying to make up for a poorly run resort. The overall condition of the resort is aged with items in disrepair, for example light switches in the room when pushed fell into wall. One of our couples had no air conditioning for two days. Two other couples had husbands that needed handycap carts to get around and were put on a second floor room, took a day to fix that problem. The food was nothing to brag about especially the steak house where everything was tough it should be noted we have traveled to the DR at least 10 times and always stayed in all inclusives. This resort was the worst we have stayed in,it did not come close to its web page. Its my understanding that the employees are held accountable for the reviews and they are pressured to have guests provide a positive review. The only good thing about this resort is the employees. Upper mangement should be replaced with someone that truly cares about its guest.

My wife and I just got back from a 5 day quick trip from this resort. It's not a 5 star resort by any stretch of the imagination. Check in wasn't bad for only having 3 desks but in busy season watch out. The lobby is also open air, so there is no escaping the heat when checking in. Unfortunately the lobby is also the main evening entertainment area. We stayed in a regular room. It was an 8.5 on a scale of 1-10 as far as cleanliness. There were no odors or mold in the bathroom. The down side is the size of the room. I've stayed in bigger roadside motel rooms. The grounds were well kept but nothing spectacular. The food was good, especially the lasagna at the Italian restaurant and the ribeye at the steakhouse. The nightly entertainment was not good, except for the 1st night when a classic rock band Steam Punk played. They were very good. The service around the pool was very good, Rosa in particular. Overall, if you are looking for a place to relax, have at it. I heard from multiple guests, the diamond club wasn't worth the price difference. I won't return here but I won't trash the place either.

G (Garlier) was the best butler ever! He was Super attentive and anything we asked for he did. If anybody needs good quality care ask for G. He is willing to go the extra mile for any given task. He’s also very personable and has no issues with anything you ask for he decorated three rooms for us, but no questions asked we love him and he should get all the business he deserves.

A nice hotel but ... We were contacted by Tui a few days before we went to inform us that the main pool was not in use due to some refurbishment. We arrived at the hotel and the receptionist did not inform us and also didn't inform us that we have could get some compensation - 25 dollars per night per couple! The receptionist was quite grumpy and not very inviting. The hotel itself was nice the main Lobby bar was good. The hotel was quite quiet for the first few days but then from Thurs/Friday a load of hen/stag and birthday groups appeared which were rather noisy and took over the place. We knew there was a DJ pool but the music was that loud you couldn't have a conversation and it was turned up that loud you could hear the boom boom on the beach. It was hot and there were very few parasols around both pools, therefore we went on the beach. Unfortunately the sea was red flagged most of the week. I did to the aquafit 3 mornings which was good but could be for a bit longer. Could do with some more activities to do in the daytime. We tried the Steakhouse and had to ask 3 times for a steak knife! and the service was poor - even we staff just standing about. The Italian was poor quality. The buffet restaurant was fine but very samey. We had 3 massages which were great and used the spa and my partner used the gym which looked new. The evening entertainment the first 2 nights of dancing was boring but then singers were good. Could do with a singer o r something n the lobby bar at 6/7pm before having something to eat. The hotel on the whole was clean and well kept but the pool area needed some TLC - Swim up bar tiling all broken off.

Thank you for everything. This is our first time in Punta Cana. The staff, especially Yennifer from the front desk team, was super charismatic and attentive. I 10/10 for the food was amazing, and clean, my wife loves it and the facilities. We will definitely come back.

This review goes out specifically to our bartender at the sports bar Ranti. We can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience at the sports bar every night, and a huge part of that is thanks to our fantastic bartender RANTI! From the moment we walked in, he made us feel like VIPs, greeting us with a warm smile and engaging personality that made every visit a pleasure. His knowledge of cocktails was impressive, and he went above and beyond to make sure each drink was crafted to perfection. We loved how he remembered our preferences and always had a suggestion when we were in the mood to try something new. His attention to detail and dedication to his craft truly made our evenings memorable. Not only did he excel at bartending, but his energy and enthusiasm added so much fun to the atmosphere. Whether he was chatting with guests or showing off a few bar tricks, he was always professional, friendly, and made everyone feel welcome. It’s clear he loves what he does, and his passion shines through in every interaction. Thank you for such a great experience Ranti – we hope to see him again on our next visit, and he definitely deserves a shoutout for making our time here unforgettable!

Best customer service ever at this resort, very empathetic and helpful people! I loved the food and variety of it. I also noticed that it is very clean. But what I loved the most was the beach and the spa services they have!!! 10/10 loved everything

The customer service here is great! You really feel special with everyone wanting to help you or serve you. They work hard here. The resort is very nice and clean. I'd love to go back. The only thing they need are more activities to do. If you can afford it, go Diamond Club. It's a nice perk.
