As pre-arranged by Quark Expeditions, I stayed here before and after my fly/cruise to Antarctica. The hotel's location on the waterfront was excellent [5.0] and quiet, and within walking distance to most tourist sights. The assigned rooms were fair [2.8], but were clean, spacious, and quiet. The bathrooms were very large. The furnishings and linens were very comfortable, but, they were showing their age. Also, despite what staff told me, both of my rooms had no AC; stand-up fans were in both rooms. While the rooms were very warm initially, once I opened the windows and turned on the fans, the rooms got cold. Shower water pressure and temperature were excellent. Staff service was generally very good [4.5] throughout the hotel. However, they were overwhelmed at times. Some English was spoken by staff members, which is always very much appreciated! And, everyone was very friendly and approachable. The breakfast buffet was good [4.1], with an average array of choices to serve various tastes. The food, including outside of breakfast, was generally good. Service was attentive. The gym facility was excellent [5.0]. It was one of the most comprehensive hotel gyms I've ever come across on my worldwide travels.

Punta Arenas is a touristy town. This hotel is centrally located with walking distance to most local areas and eateries. That makes it a popular choice for stay. However the hotel itself gives you small rooms, noisy due to its location and poorly designed. There’s no proper bathroom in many rooms. Shower with transparent glass door makes it interesting! No thermostat. Most rooms without tv, and no amenities like lotion. There’s no furniture to empty your suitcase. The housekeeping staff does not like to give you even two pods of coffee and was downright rude when asked, until I paid another one two bucks for the same! The room itself is about 175 sq feet. Unless you’re ok with such an accommodation, find a better and more suitable place to stay.

Great hotel. Beautiful restaurant and lobby area. We ate dinner which was very good. Breakfast was also good. No complaints. Staff great esp Joaquin at the front desk who helped me get tickets online for TDP Park entry. Coming back in a week and staying again. FYI the parking is out front on street. We found a spot but looks there us lots of free street parking elsewhere.

A beautiful historic hotel right on the main square in Punta Arenas. We moved here after a disappointing experience at a hotel close by where you felt like you were on a conveyor belt. As soon as we arrived here we were so happy with the friendly and personalised service from the front desk team, spotlessly clean rooms and the historical ambience. The breakfast room and front bar are stunning - you feel like you have stepped back in time. Nothing was too much trouble for the team. Thank you for a great stay and we can't wait to return.

This place deserves 10 stars out of 5, its perfectly located, very close to the bus terminal, super market across the street, the host is super friendly, really lovely decorated place, PERFECT BEDS AND SHOWERS, good breakfast, luggage storage when you check out later, walking distance to everything, I don't think you can find a better place to stay in Punta Arenas. Probably one of the best places I stayed in Patagonia!
Hotel Isla Rey Jorge

We were here three nights during our trip to Chile in August, and our experience was overall positive, especially in terms of the price paid. The hotel is a 4-star hotel with a few years of age on his back, but the hotel is comfortable and comfortable in general. The location is comfortable in the centre. The staff is always available and comfortable. The rooms are very hot, perhaps too hot, given that in the south winter we were forced to keep the window open to breathe, and breakfast is a little miserable and perhaps it should be reorganised. In general, I can only recommend this hotel.
