I'm leaving this review without having been able to stay at the establishment, due to the management's bad faith and total inability to show kind consideration for its customers.
Indeed, while my reservation indicated (in black and white) that the price paid did include VAT, the hotel demanded that I pay this tax once again upon check-in. Of course, I refused. I then faced a complete wall of incomprehension and a total lack of willingness to resolve this situation as best as possible. Worse, they ran calculations to try to prove that what I was saying was incorrect. Since I couldn't accept such an attitude, it forced me, at the end of the day, after a day of traveling, and while it was raining, to look for another hotel at the last minute (fortunately for me, a much more welcoming one). Faced with such behavior, you definitely don't want to stay with people who have no desire to welcome you properly.
Thanks to my initial booking confirmation, which confirmed what I had said, I was able to obtain a refund for this reservation through the booking platform. But it was a very frustrating experience for me because, after two and a half months in Peru, I had never encountered such rude behavior from Peruvians.
