The hotel is really nice, the beach is quiet, white sand, clear waters. The staff is really friendly and helpful, in special the bar staff, the entertainment staff and the concierge for being very accommodating.
The bad things about the hotel is that everything is extra. You have to pay extra for the beach chairs, towels and I think for a beach resort that is non-sense. I understand giving a deposit for the towel (as many people tend to steal or damage it) but not to pay for a new one every day. The beach chairs, 15 euros per person - not per umbrella+2 chairs as it is generally done. It's very expensive.
Another thing is that the breakfast is very poor. I was expecting nice natural squeezed juice but got the boxed ones, the italian bread - that is always very good - were dry and tasteless. A lack of fruits too (except pear and oranges). The coffee is from a machine. Needless to say that the breakfast was a big disappointment.
ANother thing is that we are not allowed to use any restaurant so you are designated to one, which is fine but they need to make it more clear in the reception.
If you're ready to pay more extras and maybe keep getting a taxi to go around for dinner, this is a great place to stay.

Excelente la atención del servicio de limpieza del hotel Flamingo en Cancun En especial de la señora Liliana. Nos mantuvo siempre muy limpia la habitación. Todos los días a horario, limpiando e higienizando el cuarto y atendiendo todos nuestros pedidos para brindarnos comodidad

I booked the room at Hotel Flamingo last year because I was seeing Sting at Villa Forte. I am now booking to stay there again this year (even thought there is not a Sting concert) because the Hotel Flamingo left such a wonderful impression. After I told him that I had Celiac's disease (allergic to gluten), the head of the food services made sure that there was an incredible gluten free breakfast waiting for me each morning....AND, he also informed me each evening of what was definitely gluten-free. The assistants who helped me to and from my room with my bags were also very helpful and gracious. And the front desk...well, these are professional Hotel Directors. I can't wait to return there this year! ...and send out a message in a bottle.

Io e mia moglie abbiamo soggiornato in questo 4 stelle ma di stelle forse arriva a 2, abbiamo voluto scegliere una suite:al nostro arrivo si presentava discretamente ordinata ma dopo un minimo di controllo ci siamo accorti che la vegetazione era rigogliosa nelle terrazze e in una delle 2 terrazze c'era un solo lettino e completamente strappato nell'altra terrazza dove ci doveva essere una vasca idromassaggio c'era una vasca fatiscente e sporca.Dopo qualche giorno siamo stati invasi letteralmente dalle formiche e dopo la segnalazione al personale ha provveduto lasciandoci una bomboletta anti formiche, x non parlare della seduta del bagno staccata, e una bella perdita d'acqua tutte le volte che si usava la doccia, anche in questo caso il personale ha rimediato lasciandoci degli asciugamani in più..

Soggiornare all'hotel Flamingo è un'esperienza indimenticabile .Il personale fa di tutto per garantire ogni confort.Posizione strategica fronte mare,bellissima piscina che si affaccia sulla spiaggia riscaldata , vasca idromassaggio...angolo palestra per tenersi in forma . Cibo delizioso e curato nei particolari ..Altamente raccomandato .

Strandhotel mit schönen,renovierten großen Zimmern, wir hatten einen tollen Meerblick. Zimmer sehr sauber. Bequeme Betten.
Abendessen war sehr lecker, Salatbar klein, ohne Abwechselung (Antipasti habe ich dort vermisst). Leider fehlte Personal, beim Frühstück und Abendessen kam es zu Wartezeiten.
Liegestühle (auch mit Schatten in der 2. Reihe) sind kostenlos. Der Strand direkt am Hotel hat an der Wasserlinie grobe Steine, nicht so schön. Strandhandtuch kostet 3 € bei jedem Wechsel.

We needed to rest for 24h. It was fine for that matter. But if we were to stay for a week vacation,we would not pick this hotel as the breakfast is not that great, not up to a 4 star level and also because the restaurant menu choice is limited. You need to book the day before if you want your meal there. It is not practical. We did not try the food so we don't inow if it is good at all. The employees are all very nice and polite. Good location in the front of the beach but to get in the sea it is full of peebles so you need to have special water slippers
