Booked through ***********, not the garden room in the booking info but *********** has that wee line , how they can change the room at anytime. Receptionist who was very patient said I could perhaps have another room next day. So I tried to cancel only to find *********** aren’t that accessible, go figure. So no refund immediate to go somewhere else. The room wasn’t terrible so we decided to stay. At £1000 for 10 nights for potentially 3 people self catering with sea views but easy reach to shops and beaches, you have to compromise. The hotel needs some refurbishment for sure. Communal grounds well looked after though , almost daily cleaning and fresh towels. Though it’s that way that even great cleaners can’t make up for blackened shower and tile seals. I like self catering, so a bit gobsmacked to see no bowls. Yep no bowls. No cereal. So off o go to reception, we don’t do bowls it was like a faulty towers meets Monty python sketch. Despite being told by two other guests they have bowls. No bowls available. I apparently can buy them at the shops however. The man who wasn’t unpleasant and I think found me a bit funny ( I wasn’t trying) said he had been there for 32 years and there has never been any bowls so maybe people bought them and just left them. I am in my 60’s in all my years of self catering holidays I have never thought to bring bowls just in case. So for the price of two bowls in each apartment, get some.
Suite Hotel Montana Club

Still at Montana but had to write on some issues on this visit. Lighting around tv and around the Sofa not working from mains switch. Told at reception Nicolas was not fixing these for some reason so very dark at dusk and need a reading light for reading. Should be heating available in winter months but told some like air con so up to maintenance if they switch. I’m not holding my breath for that one as tall maintenance guy very grumpy and sometimes rude. He also insists on hosing the new sunbed cushions down every morning as although the outer covers are waterproof the inner sponges are sodden, and remain sodden all day. Even too heavy to lift from the beds. Yes wipe down, but not hose, as they will not last 6 months Towels are very worn now too and don’t dry as should so need replacing as there should be maintenance schedule for them in respect of shelf life. Very big plus is the cleaning, bar and reception staff who go over and above, always polite and helpful. 5 star.. Costs for September stay up 40% although it’s the other side being upgraded, as although costs have risen over the past year seems very excessive. Be pricing themselves out if not careful. All that said we come 4 times a year spending over €9000 so must be a lot of pluses.

Forgot to add my review. Stayed in Sept 24 for 9 nights. Arrived around 930pm check in was fine and was advised there was cold food served around 10pm for us arriving which I thought was nice as some places in the past I’ve stayed in never had this. Requested a balcony over looking the main pool and got what we asked for , couldn’t fault the room’s very spacious had an issue with the fan in living room what was fixed minutes after speaking to reception, Pool was nice plenty of sun beds no drama in getting a bed . Food was fine we were all inclusive and still went out a fe night to eat out, drinks in all inclusive pool bar was fine too nothing to write home about but we were fine with it. Location is good not far from the beach we decided to use the beach around the bay towards the Sol hotel rather than the beach over the road from the hotel. We have rebooked for this September and look forward to returning for 2 weeks this year .

The hotel was lovely, location great. The room was spotlessly clean. We did not eat but had a drink at the pool bar which was lovely.
Apartamentos Aloe

Lovely quiet apartments, immaculately clean. equipped well enough for self catering. Towels were changed every other day and bedding was changed a couple of times. It is only about a 15 minute walk down to the front where there are lots of eating places to choose from, we liked Palm Bay, steaks, garlic prawns and Sangria were good and Everest was definitely the best Indian we tried. The hill back up is nothing to worry about, we are in our late 60’s and managed no problem. We have stayed at the Aloe apartments before and will certainly return. Thank you for a lovely couple of weeks.

Very big rooms, amazing staff, the manager was very helpful, open and friendly. The property close to the beach. The area is perfectly clean and quiet. You can walk at evening without worrying. We felt safe walking at evening. The bus stop 2 steps away. Easy commuting and also the car rental is cheap. You can walk to the airport along the beach and just enjoy. Highly recommended!
