Hotel Galapagos Tortuga Bay

We expected a nice holiday in Galapagos, not luxurious but decent in terms of Hotels. The only positive part of the Hotel are kind people, as in all of the island. The Hotel is old and badly maintained, I would assign at most two stars. A few examples are the cards to turn on lights that have been deactivated and are now old and loose hanging on the wall when you enter the room, the broken window that didn’t close in our room, the jacuzzi broken and abandoned in the pool area, the dirty pool, the pool table with broken balls. The wardrobe had no hangers. No safe in the room. It was also dirty with hair in our shower. View from the rooms even worst, with one room looking on the side of the pool area where there are abandoned construction tools and a dirty area. Food was extremely cheap, a dish with white rice, fried shrimps and a few grams of salad. The restaurant area is old and noisy. Finally, location is awful, very far from the town. Essentially, you are stuck in this Hotel. By taxi it is about 5-10 min to the town. Be careful, pictures don’t represent the current status of the Hotel. To be avoided. We changed Hotel, although loosing a lot of money because it was pre-booked.

The food was amazing, and everyone who worked there was super nice. All of the bedrooms were air conditioned, and the beds were comfy. When our flight out of the Galapagos was canceled, they let us stay for another night. It was just a really fun and beautiful place to stay.

I can’t even start to explain how incredible this hotel was! The rooms were clean and spacious but the service is what made my stay! I went here on a class trip and our whole trip was in awe of how kind the people were here. The food and the restaurant were so great, the amenities were so great, and the staff were just incredible. At one point I was sick and in the middle of the night the manager who was sleeping with his family got up and brought me a blanket. When we were supposed to leave the Galapagos our flight got cancelled we spent many hours trying to find a hotel for 16 people that would take us up at 8:00 at night and Tortuga bay was so kind and helpful in making our situation less stressful by allowing us to stay there on such late notice. When we got to the hotel late at night the manager was standing right inside waiting to help us. They still served us dinner even though it had closed over an hour ago, and the next day when our bus was late then even made us each popcorn for the plane ride. If you are ever staying on the Santa Cruz Island I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

This was an amazing hotel and made my trip so much better. This was truly such an amazing hotel, it was so so pretty, the beds were very comfortable, the rooms were clean, the food was amazing, and What really was the best about this hotel, is how kind and caring they were. I went with a group of people, our flight got canceled, and They let us all stay another night and even welcomed us back with cookies in our hotel room.
