Lava House is a little oasis within Puerto Ayora. The room was very clean, with soap, shampoo and conditioner provided in the bathroom. Lava House provides a very relaxed environment, where I felt I could unwind after adventuring around during the day. The breakfast service was particularly impressive and offered so much variety! The perfect start for a day of diving. And Lava was so cute!

The hotel was nice. Clean rooms. Nice people. Breakfast was quite poor, only one egg, 2 potato things and coffee. No fruit or bread etc. the issue was at the end of the stay we were charged an additional tax that we had already paid. We resolved the issue through trip but it shouldn’t be an issue in the first place. They charge every customer extra tax and pocket the difference when tax is already paid.

The water refill stations on each floor were also very much appreciated. The room was too cold with the air conditioning on, but quite hot without it, making temperature control difficult. I think the stay would have been better if the amenities, such as trash cans and tissues, were more readily available. I think there are similar-class hotels in the area at cheaper prices, so it's worth considering those options.
