Perfect setting for our yoga retreat! From the beautiful grounds (with a bonus giant tortoise who hung out in the shallow duck pond and peered in the studio window) to the lovely, clean and comfortable rooms to the delicious meals our group enjoyed, I could not imagine a more perfect setting for our week on Santa Cruz Island. Cattya and her staff are exceptional --- knowledgeable, kind, efficient and professional --- they made sure our every need was met. Cattya arranged transportation and guided excursions and was flexible regarding any last-minute changes in our activity schedule --- they even managed to order up a total ***** eclipse during our stay! Semilla Verde is magic --- highly recommend!!

Loved the natural beauty of the place. Our room was very good and very well kept. All the facilities were fabulous . Especially loved the yoga studio n the tortoises by the pond. Food was great and service was really great at all times. Manager provided great information for all our excursions.

The accommodations, staff, food, atmosphere and location provided for a magical retreat. I really can't say enough good about our time spent here. Exactly what we needed and more than we expected. Cattya was a delight. Would love to return someday with family and friends.

I have taught on many retreats now and Semilla Verde is by far the best. The food, villa, staff were exceptional. Everything was organised with ease. The activities were splendid and very punctual. A yoga studio with giant tortoises outside every day. How can you beat that. I dont know how I will do a retreat now after such an amazing experience.

We had an amazing week at Semilla Verde! The property is stunning, with walking paths throughout where we enjoyed encounters with local birds and giant tortoises. Incredible views from the room and the yoga space helped us feel completely immersed in nature. We felt completely supported throughout our stay: attentive staff prepared and served delicious meals, arranged massages, transportation & guided tours, and took great care to ensure our room was always clean & comfortable. It was really difficult to leave after such an incredible week. If you're considering a stay, don't hesitate -- just book it!

If you ever want to wake up, sip your coffee, and watch a giant tortoise stroll by like it’s just another Tuesday, Semilla Verde is the place. This spot is pure magic. Lush gardens, banana plants, coffee trees, and so many flowers—it felt like stepping into a tropical dream. The tortoises were everywhere. Just casually living their best lives. The staff were absolutely wonderful—so kind, so attentive. Everything was coordinated perfectly, customized to exactly what we needed. And the food? Ridiculously good. I’m still thinking about the criollo made with tree tomatoes—a little tangy, a little spicy, and totally delicious. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Honestly, I’d move in if they’d let me. If you’re even thinking about staying here, just do it. You won’t regret it. 🐢✨

From the moment we unpacked our bags and settled into our room at Semilla Verde, I knew we were someplace spectacular. Giant tortoises roam the grounds alongside the friendly labrador retriever. Birds sings all day and rooster greet you at sunrise. There’s walking trails all around, giving you quick access to alone time if needed and also communal dining and rest areas if you’d rather spend time altogether. Our tours were expertly planned by Cattya and executed by our lovely naturalists, Maritza & Paco. I would highly recommend Semilla Verde to visitors of the Galapagos and hope to return with my own family in the near future.

I led a yoga retreat here and my expectations were surpassed! I travel with One Yoga Global and they only work with top properties! Cattya was always available when needed and everything was organized perfectly! The beds are excellent and the a/c at night was appreciated. The kitchen, housekeeping and grounds staff were impeccable! This is a great property run with the highest level of hospitality!
