Liked · location: close to the pier, restaurants, minimarts, and tour agencies. reception ladies were pleasant and helpful. my daughter had a biking accident on our way back from el chato, they let us back into the room we checked out already and clean up. very helpful. Disliked · the family room we had was bare minimum, you got what you pay for. we didn't want to spend big bucks because we only needed a place to sleep while out and about during the day. i'm sure i left behind my video camera on a stick in the room because i only used it for snorkeling and left it on top of the cabinet to dry up, didn't use it on the day we left, and conveniently forgot about it when we were rushing around helping our daughter out. called the hostal from the ferry boat to san cristobal trying to have it retrieved and was told it couldn't be found. the camera isn't worth much, but all my snorkeling videos are in it.
