BAY VIEW HOUSE - GALAPAGOS APARTMENTS

Bay View House is perfectly located on the main street - close to dive shops, restaurants, markets, shopping and the harbor. The apartment is spacious, with a large kitchen and bright sitting area. The kitchen is fully equipped, up-to-date, and cleaned daily. Bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed and large closet, and it opens onto a private balcony that looks into the harbor. As divers, the balcony was convenient for drying our gear. There is also access to a rooftop terrace with tables and lounges. Conni is an excellent hostess, accommodating and happy to answer questions. We loved our week at Bay View House.

owner Conni and her husband met us upon arrival. even with our timing being earlier than posted check-in, there was no issue with accessing our apartment. they both helped us move our bags upstairs. the superior apartment seemed new or newly remodeled and faced a courtyard rather than the street. very quiet. clean and spacious-we wanted as much space as possible-with all the amenities you could need to for a long stay. two queens, AC, tv, and good storage in the bedroom. 2 sofas in sitting area and lovely granite & tile kitchen area with dining table. fresh drinking water provided. also some drinks and snacks available (at an extra cost). really wish we had made it to the rooftop terrace. only small concerns for us were the mattresses being very firm (we found this everywhere we stayed) and one of the sofas being difficult comfort wise because it was very soft. mostly our issue. we also had difficulty with getting the shower to a consistent temp. Conni was the most helpful host we had during our entire islands visit. great info on how the apartment worked. plus she also hooked us up with a travel service-Marcia at Entremares Travel-who was a god send on booking tours and ferry tickets. Conni also provides laundry service and we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly our clothes were returned. she even was helpful enough to do a second load after we returned from a day of beach and snorkel time so we needn't worry about packing wet clothes. daily cleaning and bed make up were very pleasant surprises also. i can't recommend Bayview Apts more. i would jump on a chance to stay here if you are visiting the island Tip-our taxi driver was unfamiliar with the location of the apartments on arrival. once we located the small wall sign and the brown door we could navigate ok. we found an easy way to direct taxi drivers to locate was to tell them you wanted to go to the LATAM airline office which they all seemed to know. its is directly next door to the apartments.
