It is a new homestay with new facilities. The bathroom, bedding and room soundproofing are very satisfactory. The hygiene is also done more attentively. The transportation is convenient and you can take a taxi directly to the store entrance. The parking lot is less than 50m away. I originally planned to stay for one day, but I extended it for two more days.
On the first day, the aunt took me to pick tea, and finally let me take all the new tea away hahaha
I like the tea table on the first floor the most. I have to drink two cups every day when I go in and out. The aunt knows tea very well and bought a lot of tea I like before leaving.

First of all, I especially want to praise the front desk lady~ People are kind, super gentle, and the service attitude is super good.
The second is the hotel room. I have a big bed room. Then the facilities inside should be complete. There are sofas, beds, wardrobes, toilets and bathrooms. I really like this toilet and bathroom. I separate dry and wet.

GGuest UserThe location is right across the door from Mangjing Health Station, and 15 minutes walk is the place to watch the sunrise. The view on the second floor is so good that the sea of clouds, the roof of the ethnic house, and the simple trees are all available. The manager and his wife are beautiful and kind. They have been providing various Jingmai Mountain guides before arriving at the store. When they arrive, they are also full of enthusiasm for recommending delicious and fun. The nearest place even helps the village people to follow us. The all-girl youth travel is very convenient for everyone. The manager provides disposable utensils, and the hygiene is quickly clean and tidy.

GGuest UserThe location had great views over the valley, including the early morning sea of cloud. The property has a rooftop lookout that our group could get together to enjoy the view.
It helped that our taxi could drive through the narrow road of Mengben village and deposit us and our luggage on the doorstep of the homestay. This is unlike Wengji & Nuogang villages, where cars are not allowed to enter the village but deposit visitors at the village carpark.
The hospitality of the owner/hostess was remarkable.
She had a Pu'er tea table and made us endless cups of different tea all grown in her farm, explaining their differences and virtues. She did not charge us a cent for the whole experience. Neither did she try to hard sell the tea leaves although we did buy a small amount off her because we enjoyed the tea. She is a good cook and whipped up breakfast and lunch for us.

GGuest UserIf you book early, you can also get a free horseback riding experience. The fee includes three meals a day, you can swim, catch fish in the stream, watch the sunrise and sea of clouds, taste coffee and pick coffee beans. It is definitely a treasure manor. It was New Year's Eve, and we prepared a self-service stir-fry, which tasted good. The self-service beef hot pot was also great, with many varieties, delicious beef, and self-service drinks. What else do you want a bicycle?

VVeraForeign friends: don't stay here. The worst experience I've ever had trying to check in - and I've travelled to many remote places in Yunnan over the past six years.
Staff has no clue about rules and regulations, even though I showed them the most up to date rules for foreigners travelling in China.
They tried to stop me from leaving the hotel because they couldn't figure out how to check me in, even though I was very hungry and tired and wanted to eat and go to bed early.
They came to my room at 10pm but still couldn't figure out how to check me in.
And here is the worst: at 8am the manager opened the door of my room and walked in without knocking. There was no inside lock or chain. Luckily I wasn't in the shower.
Awful place that made me feel extremely unwelcome as a foreigner. They made me feel like a criminal because of their incompetence and stupid actions. Very different from most places where staff is helpful even if it's a bit more complicated.

SSitao 1985I would love to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Old Town of Chama. It may be a little tricky to find at first, but just follow Google Maps and you’ll get there easily. From the main gate of the Old Town, it’s only about a 5-minute walk.
The hotel itself is quite new and very clean. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom facilities and appliances are all modern and high-quality. The soundproofing is excellent—although you might hear music and dancing outside, once inside the room it’s perfectly quiet. The location strikes a nice balance: slightly away from the hustle and bustle, yet just a few steps from plenty of food stalls and restaurants.
What really makes this place special is the owners. They are a warm, welcoming family with parents, an elder sister, and two younger brothers. They don’t speak English, but communication was never a problem—we used Google Translate to chat over cups of delicious tea. If you need anything, you can always ask them. They are very friendly and genuinely do their best to help.

OOhouLanting Garden Hotel saved my trip to Mojiang. I didn’t expect there is such a sophisticated hotel here. The environment is elegant, there are pleasing green plants outside the window, and the layout and lighting of the room are more humane. The breakfast options are quite rich. The female staff in the breakfast room is very dedicated and takes care of everyone's needs. When she sees a child getting food by himself, she will kindly and proactively help. The front desk is also very professional. Whether you ask for paper cups or mineral water, they will meet your requests quickly and considerately, which is great. Recommended to everyone going to Mojiang.

I booked Shishi Guesthouse because of its reputation for delicious food, and the overall experience truly exceeded expectations! The guesthouse has a fantastic location with its own courtyard. From the window, you can enjoy stunning views of lush greenery and beautiful sunsets. It has ten rooms in total; the twin rooms are mostly on the first floor (some even come with loungers!), while the double rooms are located on the second floor. The rooms are simply decorated yet cozy and welcoming, which is quite good for a mountain accommodation. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a very peaceful and relaxing stay. The guesthouse owner and staff were incredibly warm, hospitable, and genuine. During the Chinese New Year, they even organized singing performances and outdoor grilling sessions around a fire pit. Most importantly, the food here is delicious! At meal times, the dining area gets packed with outside guests coming specifically to eat. If you're staying at the guesthouse, remember to book your meals in advance. Jingmai Mountain, I'm already looking forward to my next trip!

Yyhj1310I booked a twin room on the second floor, which had a great view and could watch the sunset. The room was also very clean, and the bedding was new! The owners of this guesthouse are very simple and honest Bulang and Lahu people. They don't talk much, but they are very nice. The son-in-law is a Lahu young man born in the 90s, and he cooks very well. The crab leg stewed chicken and the stir-fried chicken breast are especially delicious! The location of the guesthouse is excellent, very convenient to go anywhere. It's only 600-800 meters away from the Queen Bee Tree and the Princess Banyan Tree. They will take guests to the viewing platform to watch the sunrise in the morning. Highly recommended!
