Province of Siena Hotels with Bars

We stayed for 4 nights in September at the Borgo Santo Pietro, and although it is in the middle of nowhere, that’s part of the appeal and charm. If you want to visit wineries in Montalcino, Montepulciano or Bolgheri, you have to have a car or a driver. Most of these areas are about an hour to 90 minutes away by car. We had a car and enjoyed driving around the Tuscan countryside. But, you are captive at the Borgo - there is nothing around - nowhere else to eat - but when the food, service, atmosphere, lodging, etc. is as spectacular as this place, you don’t need or want to go elsewhere. The Trattoria was our favorite, and the food, views, service and ambiance is thankfully still stuck in my head two weeks later. We ate there 3 nights and ate at the signature restaurant Meo Modo the other night. Everything we ate was a treat. You just could not go wrong with anything. Meo Modo probably needs a filet on the menu, as it is a bit fish heavy, but it was an incredible dining experience. The outside terrace overlooking the farm is indescribable. We are not easily impressed, but this place - Wow. The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are unique and art in and of themselves. We stayed in the Vecchio Forno room which is a separate cottage near the main entrance. It’s amazing. Pictures do not do this place justice. Just go. We will be back.

We stayed here for 4 nights with our young children. A wonderful place to stay - amazing views, good sized rooms and most importantly great service. + Great location with wonderful views Lots of outside seating for you to relax during the day and in the evening Nice pool Pool table and basketball net Excellent service from all of the team - very friendly and accommodating Great dinner service and good wine collection. Good WiFi connection Great slide and swings for young children Great ambience - ( very minor points) Showers are very small and could do with an upgrade Some of the sofas in the room could do with new covers More umbrellas needed by the pool A great place to stay for a few days and get away from it all. The staff go out or their way to make your stay great. Would highly recommend.

We stayed in this lovely agriturismo in September. We were here for a walking holiday in Tuscany. We were met by Simon who checked us in and a welcome drink. Our room was superb and had a large balcony which overlooked the vineyard and the beautiful town of Chianciano Terme. That evening we were treated to the first of the dinners that were included in our stay. All the produce is either grown on site or local to the area. The breakfasts were very nice and I must say the omelettes were superb. We met Stefano the owner and he was brilliant in helping to organise our walks with a walking app which we followed. In the evening he was present at dinner and if you didn't like a particular item on the menu he would offer an alternative. He was also helpful in suggesting restaurants on our walks as well as things to see and visit. The weather was very hot at about 32- 33 degrees so he was very good with another group of people who were older in shortening their walks to make it easier for them. The main town is walkable but on an incline as its up on a hill. Pienza is another beautiful town as is Montepulciano. I must also thank his staff who were brilliant-Salman and the girls at breakfast too. Would thoroughly recommend this place to stay if you are walking or cycling. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this little hotel. On our last day, when it was time to leave I wanted so much to absolutely refuse. We had such a wonderful time here. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and always a joy. We would take a bottle of wine up to the roof each evening to enjoy the stunning views and be thankful for that day's adventures. The room was gorgeous, spacious and had an incredible view of the doumo in Siena. We would leave the windows open to listen to the town as it slowly woke up each morning. We so loved staying here. Siena is a small town with much to do in and around it. This hotel alone would bring us back.
