The apartment has everything you need. The large terrace is an additional highlight. The landlord is super friendly and takes care of it immediately if a question arises.
Club Esse Cala Bitta

The place and management service let's the rest of the Club Esse organisation down severely!! We have experienced apartments had no hot water and were forced to have cold showers, the espresso machine in the outdated bar was broken and neither repaired or replaced so we weren't at all shocked at all the italians complaining! The photos on their website are not true to reality as they are taken from the opposite side of their little beach. The sea is not as clean and clear as pictured, in fact there are no photos of the mini port they have which contaminate the water, why is this hidden? We were welcomed by dog poo in various ares which isn't cleaned up, hence dries and remains for days. Infact we even found it outside our apartment door!! Nobody observes rules, as no one imposes them, hence fire escapes are being used as main entrances which are stopping air-conditioning working properly. The only positive side is a wonderful room maid called Carmen who did a fantastic job and the food was wonderful. The entertainment team were great but need to be trained on how to deal with bullies, yes there was bullying amongst some teenagers, but it was just ignored as some were favoured, which we found very disturbing. I think the way this resort is run needs to be really looked at IN DEPTH and at all angles! They risk losing many clients and the organisation will get a bad reputation! The worse part is that when we complained, their customer service manners were shocking and rude. I would recommend not booking this place.

We visited this idyliic and peaceful Hotel at the end of September 24.Our package was half board in a deluxe sea view room. The staff from the moment we checked in were superb and accommodating. They are a new Team trying extremely hard to accommodate the needs of their guests. Our room was excellent and the housekeeping exceptional. There is a wide selection in the Buffet Restaurant many of the guests having three of four helpings and during our stay we were able to experience 'A la Carte' dining which the food and service was exceptional. The scenery in and around the hotel is stunning and if you enjoy walking which we do, you will observe the panoramic landscape and the rock formations which appear in shape of animals and you can spend hours studying these remarkable features. There is a 6 euro bus service that takes you into Town where there are many restaurants and only 10 mins away, unfortunately the bus services stops early evening meaning a 25 euro taxi ride back to the hotel. The Hotel offers a free courtesy mini bus which takes you to the hotel's private beach and collects you when you are ready to return . The Bus service to Town terminates near to the Town Centre and the Port where you can catch/prebook a Ferry to Corsica and surrounding areas. Wherever you visit in Sardinia the beaches are sublime. A special thanks to Giuseppe the General Manager, Front of House Reception Alberto, Sarah. Loris and all the team, Antonio Restaurant Manager and his staff, Alessandro the Barista and the lovely Blessing our room cleaner. The quietness and relaxing atmosphere of the Hotel makes it an ideal place to rest and charge the batteries. We will certainly be returning and seeing you all again! Having read some of the reviews my wife and i wonder if the authors actually stayed in the same Hotel! RH MBE
Unahotels Club Hotel Ancora

We stayed in La Coluccia for one week this summer. Let's start on a positive note and mention hotel's good points. Firstly, beautiful location, if you look for a quiet area this quiet bay is perfect. Bare in mind that the beach is public. The housekeeping service was very efficient and some of the reception staff were very helpful and presented a good command of English. There was also a very friendly girl at the pool service. Unfortunately, there are many negatives. Starting with the cleanliness... the pool area is simply dirty, the jacuzzi was cleaned after our complaint. You would expect 5 star hotel to have their cleanliness on spot. The walls of the pool were dirty, the pool floor needs an urgent maintance, we witnessed one of the guests hurting her foot badly on a broken board. When we brought a dirty jacuzzi to the reception employee's attention...we heard that it was due to people using it. Well it is due to the staff to clean it as often as needed. The pool boy/lifeguard spent most of the days on his mobile, not interested in his job whatsoever. Here I need to mention never seen before unprofessional behaviour of the hotel management. During one of the afternoons we witnessed the hotel management staff telling the pool boy off in front of all guests. Besides the point that the guy deserved some criticism, it should have been done behind the scenes. The room advertised as a see view deluxe room is a very standard size room with a sea view covered by bushes. The food was a big disappointment, we ate mostly in the nearest town. It is a pity to see a hotel with a great potential, not to receive a deserved attention. Unfortunately, from previous reviews hotel's replies, it seems like looking for excuses is tge way tge reviews are approached. I reckon it would be good for the hotel management to be open to a constructive criticism. The management should look upon themselves and make some urgent changes. Attention to detail must be applied if the hotel wants to claim its 5 stars...
