Family-friendly Hotels in Province of Sassari

Don’t be put off by the other reviews-this place has everything you need! The beach is the best we found in Sardinia, the pool is large and clean and the loungers and umbrellas are plentiful at both. Our apartment was clean and a decent size, comfortable large beds as well, and my low expectations were surpassed. Sure, it’s not brand new and you could pay more for luxurious accomodation if that is what you want, but we found it excellent value for money and it had everything we needed for our large family group with teens. I spent a beautiful afternoon at the very reasonably priced spa-great treatments and the facilities were luxurious. We dined at the ala carte restaurant and it was fine-not the best food we had in Sardinia but pretty good, and well priced.

Stunning views. I stayed at the Beach hotel All inclusive. Greeted by a friendly helpful receptionist with a stunning sea view. My room was lovely, comfortable bed, cleaners twice a day, towels changed daily. Beach towel free of charge. Food was plentiful breakfast choice really good warm options and continental. The fresh bottles fruit juices were fabulous. As you’d imagine in Italy great fresh coffee too. Lunch and Dinner plenty of choice and delicious, the pasta and fresh fish were amazing. The restaurant staff worked hard, were friendly and helpful, a choice of beer, wine and water with your meals. Bar room staff again friendly, helpful and welcoming. The quality of all inclusive drinks were very good. Pool was a bit too cold for me but hey nearing the end of the season no surprise. The sea was just right. Regular shuttles to beach, reception and restaurants. Beach area clean and stunning views. Excursion company staff very helpful and I did 2 lovely excursions also. I never found staff rude not once. Treat staff with warmth, respect and courtesy I find you get the same in return. The staff were fabulous. My positives - the views to die for. And the choice of beautiful fresh food. Lovely fellow guests too. My negatives - need more fly control In food areas I know it’s difficult when eating Al fresco but some control needed. Also entertainment far too loud difficult to hold a conversation at the bar, not at all entertaining when you’re deafened at times. I would definitely stay here again. We paid £1328.40 for a 9 night stay in September 2023. We were given room number 100, inexplicably with an extra single bed in the room. (We won't complain about the extra space!) --- Good: Buffet was convenient for not wasting time and still getting a balanced diet. (We were at a festival and had lots of things to do, so saving time on ordering and paying the bill was helpful!) Lots of vegetables, salad, and fruit on offer (if a little basic at times), and decent enough quality pasta etc. On occasion we'd pay local restaurants for comparable or worse food, so we were actually very happy that the hotel food was available. Power stays on in the rooms when you leave, so you can charge batteries etc. Refrigerator. It worked and didn't make much noise. Staff were largely very helpful, polite, and friendly. The poolside bar was good for a cocktail or two. Sadly no Bloody Mary on offer, though 😅 --- Bad: Insecure luggage storage. Despite claiming they offer luggage storage, it's essentially a room where anyone can walk in and take anything. We did not feel comfortable leaving laptop computers and passports there so ended up taking this stuff to the beach on our last day, which just adds a little extra stress to what should be an enjoyable day. Mosquitoes in room. Open drain in shower felt like a liability, so we used a plastic cup to close it while we weren't showering, but not sure if this really helped. The cleaners would obviously remove it every time anyway leaving it open for much of the day while we were out. We found we couldn't really relax by the pool due to the music - sometimes some cheesy Italian ballads played very loud. Likely a matter of taste (I'm used to enjoying mellow Balearic beats in these situations), but it just feels really bizarre and frankly stressful at times due to overpowering, passionate Italian vocalists. At 2pm, just after lunch service, the entertainers run a 15 minute quiz in Italian that was so loud we struggled to even have a conversation during it. It seemed like fun and the Italian guests were enjoying it, though! Mold on wall underneath air conditioner due to excess moisture dripping from it. It was a very old unit with no remote control. We didn't notice till the last evening that there was liquid pooling on the floor which was a bit disgusting given the mold. Comforter on the bed was clearly not being washed between guest stays. Minor but noticeable stains on it that definitely were not from us. We just tried to not think too much about it. 😅 No ”Do Not Disturb” signs - woken up on the first morning by cleaners, twice, and no way to lock the door properly from inside to prevent them entering. Asked reception for a sign but they just didn't have an answer as to why they didn't have them. We ended up writing out our own and putting it up on the door, so that we could sleep in, and have our room made up in the afternoon. This worked, but for the first day we were just very tired. Whilst we had a nice time. There were some issues. To start on a positive we received excellent service by the TUI rep, who was very helpful along with the staff on reception. The pool area was clean and tidy. Bad points where to do with the location being remote and the buses not running 1st week in October so you had to walk 40 mins to get to town. Also the accommodation needs updating. There was an army of ants in the bathroom, toiletries holder in shower rusty and broken. Toilet was extremely noisy in our room and the other attached rooms so sure we woke each other up a number of times in the night. There was a strong smell of sewage which the staff tried to sort out but weren't totally successful. Food was OK but hotel need to make sure they don't mark something as vegetarian when it has bacon in it. Sardinia is a beautiful Island but you do need to hire a car , we were just not confident in driving.

Arriviamo in struttura il 10 Luglio e ci viene assegnata la camera più lontana dai servizi situatq su un monticello, la camera presentava sin da subito dei disservizi come la porta rotta e il telefono di servizio guasto, per non parlare della salita che dovevamo fare ogni volta che dovevamo rientrare in camera. La vista esterna pessima in quanto sulla destra della camera c era una cantiere aperto con tanto di ruspe. Belle le piscine ma impossibile trovare lettini o ombrelloni. Anche se in piscina effettivamente c erano 10 persone tutti i lettini erano occupati da asciugamani. Gli ospiti furbescamente occupavano al mattino presto i lettini e gli ombrelloni e poi andavano a farsi i cavoli loro stando sicuri di trovare poi il loro posto in piscina al rientro in struttura. Imbarazzante che come ho fatto notare al bagnino la situazione mi ha risposto che non potevano far nulla e che se volevo il lettino dovevo fare anche io cosi. Il penultimo giorno sono arrivato nella piscina only adult e non c era manco una persona ma tutti i lettini e ombrelloni occupati, preso da uno scatto di nervoso mi presi quello che mi spettava dato che avevo pagato per un servizio che non ero ancora riuscito ad usufruire. Due lettini e un ombrellone. Dopo circa tre ore arriva la signora calabrese con la figlia e come nota che l ombrellone che si era ben scelta al mattino non era più disponibile ha iniziato a sbraitare e a inveire contro i bagnini, non lo nego, ho goduto nel vederla cosi arrabbiata. Il Cibo: anche no, un self service colmo di persone e di mosche che svolazzavano sui pasti. La spiaggia dell hotel:pessima, attesa del trenino infinita sotto il sole cocente, nessun tipo di servizio in spiaggia. Animazione: forse per i bimbi piccoli va bene
