This is the most fabulous hotel! Location is perfect for total relaxation, away from the town of Roses. Roses is fantastic base to experience local art and culture in the surrounding area of which there is plenty to see and explore. Situated on this stunning coastline the hotel overlooks the most idyllic small beach. Costal paths take you to two other beaches on either side of the hotel with views that will take your breath away. It’s a small, intimate, family owned hotel where the service and attention to detail is unquestionably 5 star. The staff at this hotel are outstanding, nothing is too much trouble, every department without exception going out of their way to make our stay perfect. Would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to get away from it all and spend some time relaxing and recharging in a beautiful hotel, with stunning scenery and lovely people.

The resorts accommodation is the epitome of luxury and comfort with stunning architecture, decor and views! The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of this beautiful resort! Personalized service throughout our stay made us feel so truly welcome and we had such a restful and rejuvenating time there. Firstly, this is not a 5 star hotel. It is a very good hotel, with some great amenities but far from 5 star standard at the moment. We enjoyed our stay and had a great holiday, it is that the hotel just did not meet our expectations and for the money we paid for a 5 star experience. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are small but good with large beds but let down by the pillows. Plenty of sunbeds and we always manged to get one even being at the height of the season. Adults only also made it a relaxing experience. I think the main issues was the serving staff, although they are pleasant the serving staff are very young and inexperienced without adequate training, there also seems to be no supervision. Basics are missing, like hello, goodbye and smiling, this starts to get you down after a few days. This is not what you expect at a 5 star hotel. The reception, the cleaners and the concierge are very good and can't understand why it doesn't extend to the serving staff. Breakfast was fine, but not great. We tried the restaurant twice and while good standard is let down by waiters which made us eat elsewhere and actually found better. Snack bar is what lets it down most, poor choose, expensive if you want to eat there over a two week stay. I'm now dubious of all the positive comments and one of the reasons we choose this hotel. They seem too similar and I can't be the only one with these observations. I hope my comments on training are taken constructively.

This was among the finest, if not the finest, hotel I've ever stayed in (and I have extensively travelled). The view of the sea from our balcony was sublime. The hotel staff was wonderful. The bed and room was so comfortable. The complimentary daily breakfast with buffet was ”to-write-home” about. The ocean-side infinity pools were magnificent. The beach was beautiful and reminded me of one we loved on St. Barts--but better. Wow. Out if the park St. Marta!!!

We visited this area because we wanted to go to the Dali home in Cadaques and the museum in Figueres. There was nothing particularly appealing in Figueres and the hotels in Roses seemed too expensive for what was offered. Hotel Peralada was an excellent choice. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated and the bed was great. We arrived after a long flight from California and were delighted with an excellent dinner with local wines at a reasonable (cheap by California standards) price. Service was friendly and excellent. We didn't get a chance to tour the village of Peralada, but it looked charming. We didn't unpack our golf clubs because we were busy with the Dali sites, but the course looked inviting. Just one word of caution. It was so windy, that even had we had time, we probably wouldn't have played. We were told that this was not uncommon, so anyone planning a golf vacation there should investigate further on that score.
