Podere Castel Merlo è un gioiello di pace, eleganza, raffinatezza situato in Val Calepio a poca distanza dal meraviglioso lago d'Iseo. La struttura è curatissima nelle sue architetture: spazia da una sala comune finemente affrescata ad una hall accogliente ed elegante. Il ristorante articolato in più sale culmina con la parte verandata che affaccia su uno dei gioielli, il giardino con piscina circondato dai vigneti della struttura. Le camere sono fantastiche, ampie, elegantissime letto super comodo e bagno con doccia walk in da favola. Una chicca è la deluxe, un vero sogno! Ultimi 2 consigli: prenotate una cena al ristorante e fatevi guidare in una ottima esperienza dal maitre Umbro con il quale abbiamo anche fatto una eccellente degustazione che va al di là del bere i loro ottimi vini. Umbro vi dedicherà tempo, vi accompagnerà in un viaggio che non dimenticherete perché sarete conquistati dalla sua professionalità, dalla sua schietta e genuina simpatia. Ah, la colazione una vera coccola! Io e mio marito abbiamo soggiornato una notte in questo resort, posizione invidiabile, struttura nuova con piscina enorme ed esterni super curati. Il nostro chalet era piccino e fornito di tutto il necessario. Abbiamo fatto un massaggio in spa e ci siamo trovati benissimo! Tutto molto bello, nuovo e personale molto attento, però ci sarebbero un paio di cosine da rivedere..avrebbero secondo noi dovuto prevedere un passaggio al coperto per andare in piscina e alla spa, perché se esci in inverno dalla stanza in accappatoio fa veramente freddo, ma è solo un dettaglio. Al ristorante poca scelta e soprattutto piatti vegetariani pochissimi..ma da rivedere assolutamente la colazione. Come già detto da altri ospiti non esiste che in un 5 stelle devi ordinare le portate e ti senti un po’ a disagio a chiedere il bis che non viene tra l’altro proposto, il buffet è quasi inesistente e quello che ti portano al tavolo non viene scelto dal cliente( due croissant uno classico e uno integrale e anche le fette di pane..) ok la scelta del non sprecare il cibo ma così mi sembra un po’ eccessivo. Comunque ci tornerei, in estate soprattutto, per poter sfruttare anche la piscina esterna che ha un’esposizione bellissima!

Awesome scenery, the room size is small. It is difficult to pass after opening the big box. The hotel is building a new swimming pool. Because it is difficult to go to other places to eat, dinner is expensive.

A very nice structure in a wide and sunset position, we had dinner and taste very good dishes, made at home, genuine and especially cooked in a perfect way, the ladies who followed us( Marilena and Elena) very gentle and willing to help us also in buying organic products prepared on the site. We also had the honour of being received by the mayor of the country (in the occasion of the visit to the Old Dog) a place that deserves a visit, the stones talk about an ancient story at the time of the Serenissima and the Duke of Milan, A chip returns the date of 1700.

A wonderful place to stay in a most beautiful part of Italy. Our room had brilliant views over the lake. Perfectly comfortable and clean room. Outstanding staff always ready to do that little bit extra for guests, excellent food and generous breakfast buffet. You do need a car (or at least a bike) though to get into town.
