Podere Castel Merlo è un gioiello di pace, eleganza, raffinatezza situato in Val Calepio a poca distanza dal meraviglioso lago d'Iseo. La struttura è curatissima nelle sue architetture: spazia da una sala comune finemente affrescata ad una hall accogliente ed elegante. Il ristorante articolato in più sale culmina con la parte verandata che affaccia su uno dei gioielli, il giardino con piscina circondato dai vigneti della struttura. Le camere sono fantastiche, ampie, elegantissime letto super comodo e bagno con doccia walk in da favola. Una chicca è la deluxe, un vero sogno! Ultimi 2 consigli: prenotate una cena al ristorante e fatevi guidare in una ottima esperienza dal maitre Umbro con il quale abbiamo anche fatto una eccellente degustazione che va al di là del bere i loro ottimi vini. Umbro vi dedicherà tempo, vi accompagnerà in un viaggio che non dimenticherete perché sarete conquistati dalla sua professionalità, dalla sua schietta e genuina simpatia. Ah, la colazione una vera coccola! Beh non vi resta che prenotare, come abbiamo fatto noi per festeggiare i nostri più cari amici che hanno ricevuto per l'occasione anche un gradito omaggio dallo staff, segno di una attenzione al minimo dettaglio pet gli ospiti. Posto strategico . Consigliato per chi non è in macchina . A due passi dal centro , fermate autobus di fronte , stazione vicina , molti ristoranti e pizzerie nei dintorni . Hotel pulito , tranquillo , spazioso e personale gentilissimo e cordiale .

We would certainly come back over and over. We were only here for one evening but everything was perfect. I wish there would be a microwave otherwise you can find everything you need in there and it's extremely clean. The bed felt AMAZING.

Lovely boutique hotel with amazing, friendly and ever- helpful staff. Our room was on the 3rd floor at the front and we only heard any late night noise (bistro and restaurant across the road) one evening when we had the windows open. No sound could be heard when the windows were closed (other than the aircon). Our room was large with a large bathroom and wonderful walk-in shower. The breakfast choice was excellent with made to order hot breakfasts beautifully presented and cooked. Good location with shops, restaurants, cafes and buses nearby. Being of an age, we took the bus up to cite alta. All the Italians we met were very friendly and helpful and keen to practise their English. It is only a very short journey from Bergamo airport but it is an extremely busy airport and, when we landed, around 8.30pm, there was a long queue for taxis and none there. There is an airport bus but it is a normal bus without luggage space. If you travel with less luggage than us then this may be an option. It is a fair walk then to the hotel though there is a bus you can take but beware, many of the buses stop running mid-evening. It is a beautiful city in two parts, upper and lower and a wonderful hotel. We stayed a week which, I understand, is fairly unusual. We did travel to Milan for one day, 1 hour by train, but the Lakes were a 2 hour journey with a change so we didn’t manage that. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t praise the hotel staff highly enough, especially the front desk staff, Francesco, Joanna and Rebecca who really made our stay special.

There's not enough good words that can be said about the skills and training of the front desk staff, the breakfast servers, the evening dining room staff, and the housekeeping ladies. I am what is now being referred to as a ”Digital Nomad,” single, solo and senior traveler... and this hotel really fits my needs. Sure it could be €10 cheaper, but the room has an excellent long work countertop, WiFi Internet, large bed for sleep and for organizing travel bags, bathroom with both a tub and a walk-in shower correctly designed for use, and the food service is quite amazing. While you do need to take the taxi to most places, unless you drive, there is a major shopping mall just across the highway, and an unadvertised underground tunnel to get to the other side of the road and to that shopping center! I am not a fancy restaurant person, but the restaurant accommodates me with a very simple selection of food by my request. Both at breakfast and at dinner, the dining room is usually packed with happy diners and eaters. While I sit there with my simple food selection at dinner, I do admire the variety of Italian dishes that are ordered by other diners. Maybe I can't eat the spicy food but it sure looks good! And the other guests are very happy! I have used the Hotel's driver to taxi me to and from a variety of locations: BGY airport, Bergamo train Station, as well as the Covid vaccination center! He can be booked by SMS text and WhatsApp. Extremely easy to communicate with- both digitally and in multiple languages. The hotel is off the beaten track, therefore the taxi rides are going to be 10 additional euro from what might be expected in more urban areas. This is one of my more favorite hotels of any brand. While I rate the location as poor because you need to drive to get almost anywhere, the remoteness of the location is in itself a plus if you are residing here for more than just an overnight, because the landscaping is simple yet comforting, and major parking is underground.

This was our first hotel of many during our one week stay in northern Italy. Have in mind that we arrived at around 10 pm due to a delayed flight, and needed a place to rest before starting our road trip. Perfect location regarding airport and Bergamo city centre. A bit outside the city core to let the juice of Italian culture slowly get to us. We found ourselves at the reception after getting to park our rental inside the hotel premises. Met by a friendly staff with a smile on his face, as if knowing he was the chosen one to redeem northern Italy’s reputation regarding Europe’s Covid outbreak. Entering our room, a bucket of chilled Prosecco and strawberries awaited us. Pre-ordered, not included. At 11 pm we wanted pasta, as any international, normal person would when in Italy their first day. The chef obliged and gave us room service at that hour. Drunk with Prosecco, strawberries and pasta, we slept through the night dreaming of the journey ahead. The bed linen was clean and the bathroom upheld its hygienic standard as it should. Breakfast awaited, and was mostly packaged baked goods. We even saw a guy just shoving tons of this stuff into a paper bag. The staff said it was ok. Partially continental breakfast. Coffee was great. All in all, a good start of a week long road trip. Room was ok, but fully functional.

Ottimo in tutto , personale cordiale e sorridente , posizione ottima ( si trova praticamente a 5 minuti dall’aeroporto) pulizia eccellente e le camere sono belle spaziose e pulite . Ho trovato vasta scelta nella Colazione ( presente angolo per celiaci ).Tornerò sicuramente
