Melini Hotel Suites

This hotel well where do I start… arrived at 18:00 we were dropped off over the road outside happy days restaurant. Entered reception to get everything sorted. We were given one room above Rockafellas and one over looking the Vangelis pool area. On entering the apartment it appeared clean however on moving the sofa bed that was a joke how they expected people to sleep on it.. it was rock hard only sheets provided no blankets, it was way too small. The beds and towels only got changed twice a week.The air conditioning in the bedroom was none existent it was rubbish leaking and just rubbish. Left chips and pizza in the room to come back see it had been eaten by the maid. Fridge and Freezer absolutely shocking.We noticed signs dotted around the hotel that said you couldn’t enter the pool area till 8 am and no one could enter the pool till 9am. Looking over my balcony I could see a queue forming from 730am to get sunbeds. The lifeguard is ignorant and doesn’t communicate with anybody he sits on his phone eating breakfast with his girlfriend from the chillz bar. You feel intimidated by them both as they sit watching you and laugh all the time. The bar is nothing special the worker does nothing but smoke and eat!! The manager is arrogant, ignorant and is always shouting at the maids and staff. The key cards are useless and god help you if you need it reprogramming you’ll get shouted at off the reception staff. The main reception area has no air conditioning so if you are due to go home and sit and wait for transport it’s absolutely boiling. It’s definitely not worth the money they charge I’m really disappointed in the hotel. Rockafellas don’t have much choice of entertainment it’s all the same acts so that gets boring too. It’s also very loud if your looking over there. The pool isn’t very big especially in high season when there’s lots of inflatables in there that are all over sized could be asking for a accident to happen with all of the big inflatables there, again the lifeguard just sits and watches from the table on his phone. We found there was a lot of people drinking their own beer and smashed glass around the pool whilst fetching it all in using a pram again the lifeguard had no idea and didn’t intervene until the people needed first aid treat for cut feet. Also when I went into the island affair restaurant from the pool area to order food I was approached in a disrespectful manner by the owner of the hotel. He asked what I wanted. My advice to anyone is to avoid this hotel.

POSITIVES+++++ Stated in Room 303 Central location Gorgeous pools, cleaned immaculately Spacious rooms with loads of storage Cold Aircon which works fast in both rooms and is free of charge (a first ever for us) Rooms cleaned regularly Free toilet roll (a first ever for us) Gorgeous views of pool/ beach Hard working and friendly cleaning staff Lifts regular/ not waiting ages Friendly and helpful reception staff Rooms cleaned/towels changed regularly Couldn’t do enough for us Improvements If cleaning facilities such as dust pan & brush were in each room to clean after the messy children dropping bits on the floor. Rockafella’s very loud played music until after 1 am on one occasion (fixed with noise cancelling earphones) I do think it would be more considerate to finish at midnight. In the children play area if there were seats for adults supervising the children. Fabulous stay best hotel in terms of locations, space, friendliness, and facilities

Absolutely beautiful hotel, very very clean, staff are brilliant and it's close to everything you need shop and club wise and very close to beach. Couple things that you may need to know, take ur own teabags and milks etc and as tv is not smart if you wanna watch anything I suggest bringing a roku box or playstation to plug into hdmi port on TV. Make sure you get a high floor too unless you enjoy looking at a car park 😂 Preferably at front as it overlooks sea. Never been Cyprus but first experience a good one.

We stayed in a one bed apartment self catering for 4 people.nice spacious room with air con.Aircon is only allowed on low don't turn the fan speed up.In this heat is a joke! rooms dirty .you get black feet daily.im not sure what they clean as bathroom is gross. You get clean bedding twice a week and towels.there is a charge if you want them more often.Some staff very polite and helpful unless you have a complaint.The beds are rock hard but they do supply bed toppers on request. Not sure what they put in the pool but has died all swimwear yellow and if you have white or blonde hair it gives you a greeny yellow glow.when handing this over to staff got told it's because you got in the pool to soon which I didn't.Not been in the pool since.ruin Brand new swim wear!Good job beach is a stones throw away. Very convenient location to everything I couldn't fault it.I personally wouldn't return to this hotel.There is no vibe round the pool no music played can become boring.i don't want booming music but some back ground noise would be good.

We stayed at the melini for 11 nights in June. What can I say except BRILLIANT. From when we arrived until we left the girls on reception (Irena and Anna Marie) were always there if we needed anything. The hotel is always spotless, and the cleaning staff are always on the go. The reception is bright, welcoming, and manned 24 hrs. You need to get the remote from reception for a 10 euros deposit, which you get back when you hand it back in. The lifts are to the right of the reception desk. We stayed in room 513 and were happy with the room. It had everything we needed. It was on the right side of the hotel, so there was no view of the ***** and sea but overlooked the pool next door, so we were happy The room had a good-sized balcony. Has two beds pushed together , We found them a bit hard for us . In the bedroom are two large wardrobes. The bathroom has a sink with a large mirror, a hairdryer, a toilet, a great shower with a normal head, and a rainfall shower. We would definitely go back next year.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. The room was exactly as described on the website and the location is fantastic. The supermarkets, shops, cafes etc are all within easy reach. The room has all the modern amenities. We were self catering and prepared our own meals in the room so I cannot comment on the restaurants. We had the room with the sea view on the sixth floor which is what I had wanted. It was so lovely to see the sunrise every morning We would definitely come back in future and also recommend it to other's
