When I arrived at the hotel i found close door. What i found out later you have to call them 24 before check in to get a code. My cell doesn't work in Portugal. Hotel didn't send me a code to a entrance door and to the room to my email. My first hotel in Portugal had same system no reception but I was informed in advance and 24 before my arrival I received all codes. I had to contact trip.com to help me get into hotel.

Hotel cerca del centro de la ciudad y de la estación Trindade. No tienen recepción pero la organización un 10. El desayuno se sirve en una cafetería de al lado, las chicas muy amables y muy bueno. Nosotros íbamos en coche y nos aconsejaron donde dejar el coche. El baño limpio en la zona común se puede comprar agua y café. Muy bien todo. La única pega que nosotros reservamos en una plataforma donde nos dijeron cama matrimonial y eran 2 camas, pero por el resto genial todo

Basic but bright and airy and very clean. No lift. Good hot shower with shower gel and hand soap included. No shampoo. Didn't bother with the tea sachets in room because the vending machine downstairs had very good and reasonable hot drinks. Breakfast at the local cafe was better than expected. Coffee, fresh orange juice, toasted artisan breads and assorted pastries. Staff were very friendly. Short walk to Metro, slighter longer walk to centre but very doable. NB, Porto is quite hilly. plenty of public transport options and Ubers are cheap.. Only negative is not much hanging space / storage in room, but fine for short stay.

No reception. (Only advised by travel agent after booking complete) DIY check in. Ie What’s app messages with all your details as per passport. Then eventually you get the codes required. Keypad code for building access and your room. Very steep stairs to first and second floors. Kettle and 2 tea bags in the room. Shower attachment was broken so water everywhere. No hand soap. No shampoo. Very very basic. Our room was not exactly clean. Downstairs they have a room with a vending machine and a coffee machine. The step out of the front door is very deep. The location is well out of the centre. So unless your happy to use the trains or bus or pay for a Taxi I recommend you look elsewhere.

The truth is that I had a very good opinion until today! We were there this weekend and the rooms were very comfortable and clean, everything new and tidy. But today we received a very out of place message! They insinuated that we left the common areas in poor condition and told us that they had seen on the cameras that we were in that area! I can assure you that both my friends and I, WHO WERE JUST A HALF AN HOUR OR SO IN THAT AREA, were respectful at all times. When we arrived the bathroom left a lot to be desired but well we understood that since it was Sunday afternoon a lot of people would have passed by and that is normal, but come on, they have the nerve to say that we left the area disabled it seems ridiculous to me and if they saw the cameras they could have verify that we did nothing to leave the area disabled, far from it. This message has meant that if I have to recommend the hotel, it is not in a positive way. I attach the message

The rooms are modernly furnished and clean. The location is well located in the old city close to metro and hop-on hop-off bus. Breakfast at traditional restaurant, simple but original. Contact via WhatsApp in advance and during your stay is clear and fast.

Good location, clean, easy to arrive. It is a room inside a building, everything as described in the advertisement. Good service through messages, any questions are resolved immediately. Bathroom without ventilation or extractor. There is a permanently bad smell (I think it's the plumbing), the room faced the street so there was a lot of noise. There is no elevator (it is mentioned in the advertisement) the staircase is very heavy, carrying the suitcases was a real ordeal. I think it is functional if you travel with very light luggage.

Located close to the Trindade metro (which serves all metro lines and also the Andante store where you can buy day passes), the location is ideal. It is clean and neat. Arrival can be at any time due to coded entry. But on the other hand, you will not come across any staff. The host has provided a microwave in a common room, perfect for baby bottles or meals on the go.

Location is good and near to old town, rooms are ok (though I found several hairs in my bed that were not mine!) though a little lacking in facilities (my room had no where to store clothes) - no fridge, no free coffee (as promised!). The breakfast is in a nearby café which is ok although the manageress is very grumpy and refused to give us toast AND pastry (as it stated on our cards) insisting we could only have one or the other (don't have the pastries - they are horrible, though the toast and coffee are fine. No staff on site which feels a little odd
