Hotels near Parque da Orla, Porto Alegre

I had been hosting at Hotel Plaza São Rafael several times, and I like the hotel to the memory of his love and the city of Porto Alegre since I was a child. However, at this last occasion I found several indices of a reversal in the quality of the hosting, and the staff in general, very heartily and well trained, but some others, clearly without vocation for the hotel industry. In the last place I stayed in a very old room and needed a pension, the bathroom boxing, unexplainedly, was located at the highest point of the floor, causing water accumulation and extravagation outside the boxing at each bathroom. When you arrived at the hotel and until the next day, the card recording system for accessing apartments was not working, which required you to go to the reception every time you were absent to attend a staff member to accompany you until the The hotel was a very good hotel, and the hotel was a good hotel. We went out before they served the coffee, and under my window was the air-conditioned reception machine, and the noise was a little bit fast.

Hotel location & surroundings: Conveniently located in Buchon. There are many shops around, and it is convenient to go to Uber. Check-in, out and response: The check-in time has passed but the room is not ready for you to wait. The staff wasn't very friendly after the late check-in. Friendly staff at check out. Respond differently depending on the hotel staff Room condition: Overall modern and pretty. Great bed with lots of extra futons. It was cold because the weather was winter, but the room was colder than I thought. Please note that there is a lot of mold in the bathroom. The shower is not working properly and water leaks to the side. Hot water comes out very well. Cleanliness outside the bathroom is not bad. Other facilities: Breakfast quality is good. Fruits and various bakeries are available. Good for a relaxing breakfast. There are plenty of places to sit and relax inside the hotel.

Chegamos na madrugada. A pessoa que estava na recepção nos deu o melhor quarto do hotel e informou o horário do café da manhã. Todavia, o melhor quarto já é ruim. Colchão duro. Travesseiros baratos e desestruturados. O chão estava sujo!! Todo riscado. Mas o pior foi que a Recepcao informou errado o horário do café da manhã e quando chegamos estava fechado. Reclamamos e a recepcionista do dia disse que o restaurante era terceirizado é que deveríamos NÓS MESMOS tentar que reabrissem o café. Como foi o Hotel que causou o problema, reclamei e então foram pedir ao terceirizado que reabrisse o café. O rapaz do restaurante foi gentil, reabriu e colocou alguns itens na nossa mesa (o buffet já havia sido retirado). Não obstante a gentileza do rapaz, o café é horrível. Suco industrializado doce e cheio de conservantes. Paes e bolos de má qualidade. Só o que estava tragável era o mamão. Enfim, não dá pra tomar café da manhã no hotel.

The room is comfortable (Ap. 1008), but they could put some more cabins, we also missed cabinets. WiFi works perfectly. Breakfast is honest, but the restaurant and room service are expensive for what they offer. In the bathroom, it would be interesting to put the toilet paper door near the sanitary vase and to put in the box a ”panel or nick” to support shampoos.

The best opportunity to be in the best neighborhood of Porto Alegre with shops, markets, pharmacies and restaurants! lunch from the ibis restaurant, wonderful! Table prepared at the time! Experiment the Tiramisu, a delicious! The room was very hot, comfortable bed and beautiful views of the Auxiliadora and Mont Serrat neighborhood!

Relatively new hotel which is kept in excellent condition. Rooms have lovely views and breakfast is excellent, although 1 day of the 5 we stayed they did struggle a little to keep up with demand. Best part: The pool! Great to finally have a outdoor pool with a view in the city! They do need to have some umbrellas though as it is South facing and the sun is relentless. Especially a concern with young children. Also the floor in the pool area is extremely slippery when you have wet feet. There is also a top quality shopping mall on site with some fabulous food choices. Staff were very good indeed! My only gripe was they ran out of English Breakfast Tea Bags so I had no tea for the last 2 days... but that's my own fault for being English!

We visited this same hotel last year and wrote a 5 star excellent review. Things changed and not for the better. Our week long stay was not entirely enjoyable. While the hotel retains some of the quality, the quality of service and room standards has gone down noticibly. Specifically, wait staff is not attentive as before and even during non peak dining hours, wait times for the first greeting and offer of a drink were long. The food was well done but taste varied between lunch and dinner, dinner being the better meal selecting the same dish. We asked 3 times for the room to be cleaned while we took a break from work. The room was not cleaned when we returned. After ordering room service, tray pick up took 3 hours. Then, when we called back to insist they remove the tray, the restaurant called our room within 5 minutes to find out where thier coffee and not milk thermos was and insisted on knowing exactly what was in the room still. We felt like inmates rather than guests. The room we were in for a week was nothing like the room on the same floor on our first trip. Cheap artificial wood TV shelves replace beautiful dressers and the room felt like a holiday inn rather than an elegant hotel like our last trip. The highlight of our stay was Rosemarie (we think) in housekeeping. She's a delight and obviously a remanent of the old days. Alberto and Taylor in the dining room were the only waiters who made us feel comfortable. One waitress moved around so quickly, we were holding our glasses to be sure they were not taken. Very nervous way of serving tables. Another waitress took so long to serve us with guests, I had to get up 3 times to find help. The bell captains were also excellent and helped greatly. (Maybe they should be put in charge of the front desk and dining room!) If you need to stay in Porto Alegre, you'll want to stay here but be prepared and if you stayed before as we did, prepare yourself for the changes in room quality and service level. Not sure what happened but it's not the same place anymore.

Good accommodation, educated staff, excellent location.

Breakfast coffee with the necessary fruit, bread, cake, coffee, milk, juices and yoghurt and all safety against contamination. Excellent cost x benefit ! The hotel is located in the heart of the city, close to the shopping area.
