Driving around Poole is not the most pleasant of experiences. Finding the hotel also proved tricky. I must emphasise that this hotel is NOT SUITABLE for anyone with walking difficulties e.g. accessing stairs and steps and certainly not for anyone in a wheelchair. Apparently the hotel is a listed building and therefore the management does not have to comply with the DLA. There is room for a maximum of 8 cars, I would say, in the hotel’s car park. There is a daily/nightly charge for this which isn’t exactly flagged up prominently on their website. The rooms are not particularly soundproof. There is an excellent choice for breakfast of cereals, fruit juices, yogurts, teas, coffee etc as well as choices for a cooked breakfast, freshly cooked to order. There is also a good choice for dinner. The hotel is very well placed to walk around old Poole or the newer quayside, where all the boat trips leave from. The staff were all most helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable.
