Surf & Sand Seaside

Overall it was only ok. The blinds have missing parts everywhere. Due to that we changed our assigned room, you could have seen us sleeping from outside. The windows are kind of sealed so that you can’t open them. This was a huge problem in the bathroom because of the missing exhaust. The beds are great and you have a lot of space in the room. The cookware should be changed, the pot and pan have massively scratches and are of poor quality. There is no in-room housekeeping. You can go to the office and get new towels or toiletries but no in-room housekeeping during our stay of three nights. I don’t need new towels every day but after beach days the room needs a cleaning. They call themselves a hotel, so a basic cleaning service should be done. Additional 10$ for parking each day.

We spent a few nights there recently and from the moment we arrived it spelled trouble. There was a sign on the office door noting they were at another "sister" property. We had to wait 45 mins for an employee to show up to check us in - and this was at like 4:00 in the afternoon. They gave us a room right by the pool and right by the traffic and tourists walking by. It is what it is. We were forced to listen to late night and early pool-goers hollering and drunks walking by...... So then we tried to exchange towels 2 days later and we struggled again to find any employee at all....and when we did, none of them "habla ingles". That was terrible. Again the note was on the office door noting no one was at home...and that they were at the other property. It's a Motel 2 in comparison to Motel 6. I wish I could speak better of it. It's location is nice but that's about the only plus. Good luck if you opt to stay there.

This hotel is pretty bad. No one in office. You have to call a number if you arrive after 5 PM. We prepaid and checking in was terribly difficult for us (pushing 80.). We are not too tech savvy. Didn’t have WiFi until we called the number the next day. Only 4 lounge chairs by the pool. None available. Called again. Told that the hotel had been inspected and only 4 required. 7 people here now. No seats. Can not write reviews on their web site. Never again. Housekeeping and maintenance people very nice. That is about all I can say about it.

Hotel rooms are generally clean, but are not cleaned daily. Plus they have a funky smell. Beds are terrible - mattresses were poor quality and old. Room is minimally furnished with very cheap furniture. Few amenities in rooms, including no dressers for clothes. Bathrooms are tiny with towel hooks taped to walls. This is an extremely budget motel!
