Hotel Roundcube Palolem

Writing this review for future travellers as there are many things this place needs to improve like the quality of staff and number of staff in restaurants and kitchen. Breakfast opens around 9 am, if you order breakfast at 9 it gets delivered around 10 to 11 am. First you need to wait for an order and then it gets served. This place gets too many bookings but even though the quality of service is poor. About room service and cleaning they have same issues and cleans rooms every 2nd or 3rd day. The rooms they named like partial sea view and other but they don’t have such views. They focus on quality of rooms sold, not quality of services. The music they plays in afternoon is loud and annoying who would like to have afternoon sleep. Overall the location of the place is good but the experience is not expected as the popularity of this place.

Not at all cooperative owner and staff. Booked the place 2 days before arrival and booking said it’s confirm , also owner Mr. kundan confirmed the booking but on arrival they refused to have any vacant bungalow. Very unprofessional

The beach huts themselves were lovely, very clean and spacious, the bathroom flooded a bit after a shower but was fine, location was phenomenal. These huts are very loud at night, you are literally not even a metre from the bar area so it’s very loud until very late. The young waiting staff were friendly. The reason it lost stars is because of the noise but also because of the owner, he wasn’t very friendly and welcoming and made us feel uncomfortable, even when we were leaving and said goodbye he was very rude and just asked for key, no thank you or goodbye or anything. Wouldn’t stay here again because of that. But if you don’t mind a bit of late music, then these huts are amazing 🙌🏻

We stayed at their superior beach facing bungalow which is located bang on the beach. Our booking was done directly through the front desk. It was a nice small bungalow (It is a cute wooden hut with its own privacy so kindly do not take the literal meaning of a bungalow). It has all required basic amenities like a king size bed, hot water, air conditioner, some toiletries, towels, etc. The front side has a small balcony with chairs which directly faces the beach; We enjoyed sitting there at late nights and early mornings. Being on the beach we did observe flying insects near the lights but it was never a big problem. Almost the whole structure is of wood so when someone walks by one can hear the footsteps; However, we travelled as a couple & we were well aware and ready with all the pros and cons. Our stay was majorly intended to enjoy the majestic view and the cool breeze from the beach. We booked this particular category bungalow for 6.5K INR for a day which we felt a little over priced but then ours was a last minute booking so can't complain much (Try to workout a better deal). The house keeping staff is very well behaved and do their job properly. They also have a shack which serves food and beverages; We did have a meal here and there with them but I'd suggest there are plenty of better options available in walking distance.
