Cabot Hobby Club Apartments

Lovely stay, apartment nice a few cleaning issues strange greasy black residue on the floor at the front door. Sofa bed really uncomfortable wouldnt come back as a family as sofa bed not practical for us at over 50 and pulling out every night just wasn’t pleasant. Staff lovely location perfect views amazing

Arrived to discover that there were loud construction works going on right opposite our apartment ( slab cutting and drilling) No one from Cabot Hotels had bothered to pre-warn their guests - People who had booked with Jet2 had however been pre-warned! These works go on all day and start around 7.30am and are hideously loud. Thank god I managed to move to a different apartment after one night - Poor customer service, no hint of even an apology.

These are decent apartments that offer good value for money. Location is great, literally across the road from the beach. 15-20 minutes walk to the main PP square/centre though so a little way out of the main restaurant & bar area at night. Although it is a lovely walk along the front. Facilities are decent, the pool area is adequate. We had a swim up room and the plunge pool off the room was clean and good fun for the kids. Rooms are basic (hob, sink, toaster, kettle and microwave). No cleaning up stuff which was annoying (no sweeping brush or cloth/washing up liquid), the hotel could supply these for free in my opinion as this would improve the guests experience & general cleanliness. Reception/staff were helpful and friendly. Pool situation: I have noticed this mentioned on numerous reviews and the hotel seems to get very defensive about this... The pool definitely does turn any light coloured clothing yellow, this is applicable to any lightly colored or white swimwear. They seem to think it is a reaction with suncreams however having stayed in tonnes of hotels over the years and always applied the same Soltan suncream this has never happened to me before. It is clearly some specific chemical that they put in the pool that causes the reaction. I am not saying the pool isn't clean (because I'm sure it is) however it is definitely the pool water that causes the issue. Take dark coloured swimwear and there won't be any problem but I noticed everyone at the poolside was having the same issue with things looking yellow. All in all good value for money and pretty much what you'd expect for the price. Would recommend however couldn't rate any higher than average when taking all into consideration.

Great apartments, quiet, just across road from beach so kids could either use pool or nip across road to the beautiful beach. About a 20min walk into main square but there are also restaurants nearby. Loved that it was right next door to a spar with bakery and could nip next door each morning for fresh croissants and baguettes. We were warned of building noise before arrival but honestly heard nothing for the whole week we were there. Apartments themselves were clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and accommodating.The only downside I'd say was that for some reason chemicals in the pool were reacting with suncream and turning our swimwear and on occasion skin green, bit of a disappointment as swimwear which was bought new for holiday is now ruined. Overall though we had a really enjoyable stay at Hobby club apartments and was everything we looked for in our holiday

Clean and pleasant enough stay. Good 20 minute walk into the main hub. Stones throw walk to the beach which was great along with plenty of sunbeds around pool. However room was only ‘cleaned’ every other day. I use word cleaned loosely as beds not made properly(not that it bothered us much) but makes you wonder what effort they put into the rest. Asked for change of bed sheets and had to change them myself, perhaps expecting too much as it is apartments. Pool was the biggest bug bear, turned my and families swimming costumes yellow along with skin; washed off the skin but ruined swimwear. The side of the pool tiles turned yellow(maintenance would just come round daily to clean this off.) Never been in a chlorine pool that did this around the pool. Begs the question if the pool is safe. So we stopped going in. Nothing was done when spoken to reception, as the week went on all we could see was it affecting more people. The lifeguard on duty is great and does a wonderful job, very helpful and friendly. Great in/outdoor sitting area with pool table which kids can use. Somewhere to stay if you like holiday stroll, spacious apartment and beach right on your doorstep. Just beware of the pool please

Stayed in a balcony room on ground floor. Opposite the building work. Tbh it wasn’t a problem. Yes there was a bit of noise in mornings but hardly bothered us. Just wear earplugs. They finish at 4.30 so no noise in evening if you want to sit on balcony. Room was fine. Clean and enough space for us. TV is a bit basic for English , but not here to watch telly. It’s about 20 mins walk into Pollensa. It’s a quiet resort and everything seems to finish around 11. Had some lovely meals in Restaurants.. Sol y Mar. Can Josep and Swing. Great too that you don’t have to get up at crack of dawn to secure a bed. Pool opens around 9 and there didn’t seem to be a rush to get a bed. The only advice I would give is that maybe an instruction sheet to use the hob and espresso machine. Took me a while to fathom them out. Lovely apartments and will be back
